The Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH
CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, is in Midland MI trying to reduce the
margin between him and the Number One Dog, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll
Painting the Sky, who is here with US at Woofstock. Matisse and Sky both picked up at BIS
yesterday.
Matisse got his at the Midland Michigan Kennel Club’s day
one show under Dr Robert Smith. Dr Smith
also liked the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver
Charm, who got the RBIS. Rounding out
the final were the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Raquel Welch Of Malabo APD, the
Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Papillon, JC's Bud Lite, the
Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker
Topsy Turvey.
GCH CH Mt View’s Silver Charm
BIS judge Patricia Laurans would see it the same way placing
the Portie first and the GWP second, at the MMKC’s day two show, after
considering the Treeing Walker Coonhound, GCH CH Alexanders Gold Rush Xcetera,
the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Broxden Waybroke Halstan Heritage, the Pomeranian,
CH Char’s Hotter Than Hot, the same Standard Poodle, Flame, and the previously
seen Puli, Charlotte.
Much to Matisse’s frustration the entry in Michigan is too
small to allow him to gain ground on Sky.
To quote Noah, “How long can you tread water?” or was that Bill Cosby?
