GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire
We had several back2back BIS winners this weekend. In Wrentham MA, the Irish Water Spaniel., GCH
CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, took both of the top awards at the Ladies Dog
Club shows. On Saturday Linda More would
choose Riley out of a lineup that included the Rhodesian ridgeback, GCH CH Rhapsody’s
Undisputed Opus, the Samoyed, GCH CH McMagic’s Candied Ham Of Pebbles’run, the Lakeland
Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash Jp
Sakura, the Keeshond, GCH CH Nightwind’s Little Ricky, and her RBIS, the
Bearded Collie, GCH CH Dunhill Celebration.

Sunday Riley would be Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna’s pick over
her RBIS, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Yarrow's Hi-Tech Ben There Done That, the
Longhaired Dachshund, Aviance's Pramada For Terms of Endearment, the
aforementioned Sammie, Candie, the same Lakeland, Spot, the Lhasa Apso, Ta Sen
Westgate On A High, and the previously considered Beardie, Olivia.

Riley is currently the Number Three Sporting Dog with four
BIS this year. Riley started the month
as the Number 39 Dog All Breeds. She
started the week as the Number 27 Dog.
We’ll wait until all the numbers are in to see if the wins were good enough
to get her into the Top Twenty.

Down in Charlottesville VA, the country’s Number Two Dog,
the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, was
supported by an all-star group of finalists at both Saturday’s & Sunday’s Charlottesville
- Albemarle Kennel club shows. On day
one Matisse and handler Michael Scott were challenged by Ann Bolus’ RBIS the
Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Pointer, Brackenmoor An Heir
AndA Spare, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Peremi I’m A Player, the Havanese, CH
Ji Jo's And Shatara's High Voltage, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing
Tenzin, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.
GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded
Mary Lou Kniola would make Matisse BIS and the Standard
Poodle, CH Unique Da Maya Dancing Queen,
RBIS at Sunday’s closer, while the Pointer, GCH CH Soundne’s Ventania, the
American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the same Bedlington, Player,
the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Integra’s Masquerade Party, and the German
Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of Merivern.

The two wins, Matisse’s 27th & 28th
of the year, puts him ahead of the Number One dog in number of BIS, but he
still trails the leader by better than 11,000 points.
GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect
Meanwhile, out in Longmont CO, native son GCH CH Bugaboo’s
Picture Perfect collected the back2back wins at the Flatirons Kennel Club shows. At the opener Swagger and
breeder/owner/handler Colton Johnson were joined in David Kirkland’s final by
his RBIS, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Northern Star At
Shirmont, the Weimaraner, Harline
Win’Weim Encore Bravo Love Y’All, the Greyhound, CH Chaparral Tour De France,
the Nedwfoundland, CH Mtn High Calyso CGC, the Irish Terrier, CH Breezy’s
Redhawk Jack Clancy, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine,
in David Kirkland’s final.

Staying all day Sunday to see Paula Nykiel were her BIS,
Swagger, and her RBIS, the same Cavalier, Teddy, the returning Greyhound, Lance, the Vizsla, GCH CH Nyircsaszari
Szilva Palinka, the Great Dane, CH Shalako It’s All About Me V Regent, the
Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mtn Everso Smooth, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH
Tamarin Tarheel, and the Tibetan Terrier, Tibroke’s Thrilling Possibilities.

Swagger started the week as the Number Twenty Dog All Breeds. These two big wins, his seventh & eighth
of the year, will have him knocking on the door of the Top Ten.
