First in today with results is the Heartland Dog Club of Florida who is spending the weekend in Zolfo Springs FL. Keke Kahn had the final and her pick of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Indian River’s Early Morning Marsh, the Basenji, GCH CH Svengali’s What’s Not To Love Of Zindika, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Malahovskiy Graf Rossiyskiy CD CGC RAE CA, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Wakefield Ardynas Hearmy Voice, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex N Kisa Set Fire, the Shiba Inu, GCH CH Frerose Good Time Charlie, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche’s Madness Full Throttle.

Friday was day two in City of Industry CA for the Conejo CA and judge Terry Stacy’s turn to choose a Best In Show. His options were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Silveroaks Surfcity Shades Of Grey, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Wallstreet, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog , GCH CH Derby’s Toast With Gusto, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What the Inferno, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Durandel Dance With Me, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Delux Jumpin Jack Flash CGC. 

GCH CH Thaon’s Wallstreet 

The two he liked were the Pom, Danny, whom he named his BIS, and the Afghan Wally, whom he named his RBIS. Danny is the Nation’s Number One Toy Dog and Number Two Dog All breeds with 12 BIS and 31 Toy Groups this year.

The Shreveport Kennel Club went across the Red River to Bossier City for their Friday show.  The day ended with judge Laurie King Telfair in the final ring with the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Smooth Dachshund, GCH CH Passport What Did You Say SS, the Akita, GCH CH Onyx Gold At Last, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Glentom’s Dirty Harry, the Papillon, GCH CH InVolo Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Kimik’s Who Dunnit, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH War Bouviator Ekabus Deringer @ Dewerker.

Best went to the Dachshund, Jana, and Reserve to the Bull Terrier, Clint.  It was the second BIS in four final appearances this year for Jana and breeder/owner/handler Arvind DeBraganca.

GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless 

The Palouse Hills Dog Fanciers opened the four day set in Lewiston ID and asked judge Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna to name a Best In Show and Reserve. She considered the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rush Hill's Drama'geddon JH RATN, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Excelsia's This Side Of Paradise, the West Highland White Terrier, GCH CH Shalreign's The Love Bug, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH North Well Vivian Jp Rose Queen, the Keeshond, GCH CH Skyline's Chemin De Fer, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Sky Acres Maximum Altitude. 

GCH CH Rush Hill's Drama'geddon JH RATN 

Going to the head of the line were the Whippet, Brazen, followed by the Golden, Willis. It was the Whippet’s third straight BIS. Brazen is the country’s Number One Hound and Number Nine Dog All Breeds with eight BIS and 25 Hound Groups this year.

ONE MORE FOR NUMBER ONE

The nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn, has continues to put distance between her and the rest of the field adding another BIS to her already formidable resume. The latest win came today at the Bloomington Indiana Kennel Club show in Terre Haute IN. 

GCH CH GrandCru Giaconda 

 Judge Joan Goldstein picked Rumor out of a lineup that included the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Malagold Southern Belle Of Wing Star, her RBIS, the Greyhound, GCH CH GrandCru Giaconda, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Alisaton Saboteur V Raklyn Ciden, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Hampton Courts Monte Cristo, the Papillon, GCH CH Wingssong Singular Sensation, and the French Bulldog, Nobel Baflo.

Rumor leads all dogs with 24 BIS and 46 Herding groups.

FRIDAY IN MASSACHUSETTS

GCH CH Pequest General Tso 

First in today with results is the Springfield Kennel Club who opened the three day set in West Springfield MA. Judge James Brown chose his top two from the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Shannon's Celebration At Springrun, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Taji Better Man Mazshalna, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Mistel's Can Can, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Vaca Valley's Bold Ruler For Fraja EC, the Pekingese, GCH CH Pequest General Tso, the American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH Sierra's Summer Celebration, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Regal Thunder Cartier Noir Of Taize.

The two he chose were his BIS, the Peke, the General, and the his RBIS, the Eskie, Gala. The General is the nation’s Number Two Toy Dog and Number Ten Dog All Breeds with eight BIS and 28 Toy Group Firsts this year. Four of the BIS have come in the last three weeks.

The City of Industry is a Los Angeles suburb that has 2500 businesses, but only 219 residents. Today it was the site of the Conejo Kennel Club’s day one show. Judge Robert Stein gathered the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Sandpiper's Let Freedom Ring, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon's Wallstreet, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby's Toast with Gusto, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What The Inferno, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Sabe's Simply Invincible, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Delux Jumpin Jack Flash CGC.

His Best In Show was the Boston Terrier, Vinnie, and his Reserve, the Golden, Freedom. It was the third BIS in eight final appearances this year for Vinnie.

ANOTHER BIS FOR NUMBER ONE

The Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn, started this week as she ended the last, with a Best In Show.

Today’s BIS came at the Terre Haute Kennel Club in that Indiana town. Joining Rumor in judge Jamie Hubbard’s final were the RBIS, the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Malagold Southern Belle of Wing Star, the Greyhound, GCH CH GrandCru Giaconda CGC, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Alisaton Saboteur V Raklyn Ciden, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Abbeyrose Black Diamond, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, and the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Barnstorm Sim-Pa Caught On The Fly By Dzine. Rumor charges into the new week with 23 BIS and 45 Herding Groups this year.

GOLDEN BIS AGAIN IN WASHINGTON

GCH CH Rush Hills Drama’geddon JH 

The Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rush Hills Drama’geddon JH, jumped on the back2back BIS bandwagon, adding Sunday’s Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club BIS to his Saturday win. 

GCH CH Imaginabull’s First Edition 

Challenging Willis for the win were the Whippet, GCH CH Rainier’s Class Act At Endeavor, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Excelsias This Side Of Paradise, the RBIS, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Imaginabull’s First Edition, the Havanese, GCH CH Peluitos Papi Chulo, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Lakeridge Atalanta Summer In Paris, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt’s Isis Of Graffiti. The win brings Willis’ 2015 record to two BIS and four Sporting Groups.

NEW DOG2WATCH IN SACRAMENTO

The breakout performance of the week goes to the Spanish import, the White Bull Terrier, Lordbull Larry, who made his US debut in spectacular fashion this weekend, winning back2back BIS’s two shows in Sacramento CA. 

GCH CH Sabe’s Simply Invincible 

Larry was judge Desmond Murphy’s Best In Show at Sunday’s Sacramento Kennel Club show. Judge Murphy also liked the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Sabe’s Simply Invincible, whom he named his Reserve. Rounding out his seven were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Over The Legal Limit, the Basset Hound, CH Blossomhill’s Topsfield Sanchu A Little Princess, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Ogee Saltus Ze Zahrabske, the Pug, GCH CH Pocket’s Jato Jetliner, and the Beauceron, GCH CH De Joie Du Chateau Rocher CA. 

Both wins were from the classes. We don’t think we are being premature when we say Larry is a Dog2Watch. Congratulations to breeder Andreu Martinez, owner Zane Smith, and handler Ed Thomason.

GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth 

Judge Sidney Marx had the final at Sunday’s Terry-All Kennel Club in Brighton CO and his pick of the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Foxtails Race for the Chase, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH GCH CH Dynasty's Br Donald Rockfeller, the GCH CH Hilltop's GQ Cover Boy, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Judge’s Choice Heart Beat For Bodacious, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Thunderhill’s Apple Bottom Jeans.

Our next stop is in Austin TX where the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Reverie Cameo, was judge Charles Trotter’s BIS at Sunday Austin Kennel Club show.

We suppose that judge Trotter might have chosen the Sussex Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Howdy Doody Time, the Irish Wolfhound, GCH CH Cu Muirin Dylan, the Mastiff, GCH CH Willow Ridge’s Risky Business, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Kelwyn’s Gm Freestyle Flyer, the Chinese Crested, CH Gracieux Ruckus Maximus, or the RBIS, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Kimik’s Who Dunnit, but he didn’t. 

It was the first BIS this year for Cameo. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Leon Goetz and co-breeder Mary Ann Magness.

GCH CH Hampton Courts Monte Cristo 

Judge James Frederiksen chose the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Hampton Courts Monte Cristo, as his Best In Show at Sunday’s Bartlesville Kennel Club show in Grove OK.

Challenging Cristo for the win were the Sussex Spaniel, GCH CH Kamand Tangled Up In Blue, the Saluki, GCH CH GCH CH Starlite's Made Of The Best Stuff On Earth BN RN JC, the RBIS, the Boxer, GCH CH Cherkei's Dick Tracey, the Japanese Chin, Touches Princequillo, the RBIS, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Qazara Ti Amo, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv' Sultry Sensation. 

It was the first BIS for Cristo. Congratulations to breeder/owner Victor Malzoni and handler Leonardo Garcini.

The Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, ended the week with two more BIS on her resume after picking up back2back BIS at this weekend’s Stone City Kennel Club shows in Crown Point IN. 

GCH CH Tramore Notorious 

Sunday judge Eric Ringle picked Brazen out of a seven that included the RBIS, the Irish Setter, GCH CH Tramore Notorious, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Kamterra’s Legato, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Taliesin Twice As Nice, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Ouachitah One Life To Give, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Barberry’s Take A Chance On Me, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn. 

The win, Brazen’s seventh BIS in 24 trips to the final ring this year, will make her the Number One Hound in the US.

SUNDAY IN PENNSYLVANIA

GCH CH Rivergroves Enough Said 

The Mason and Dixon Kennel Club closed the four day set in Harrisburg PA with judge Kenneth Rayner Jr in the final ring. The seven dogs he considered were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Foxwood’s Rock of Cashel, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Stonewall Jackson, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Rivergroves Enough Said, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Invercrest Gotcha Girl, the Pekingese, GCH CH Pequest General Tso, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Merry Go Round Coach Master, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Stonepillar’s Steel Blu.

Our final Saturday report comes in from Moses Lake WA where the Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club is hosting two shows. The seven dogs that stayed all day to see BIS judge Shelley Hennessy were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rush Hills Drama’geddon JH, the Whippet, GCH CH Rainier’s Class Act At Endeavor, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Excelsias This Side Of Paradise, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Kuhlbreeze Voice Of Reason, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Chiboya Ni Kokoro Kitto Gimme A Riesen, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Lakeridge Atalanta Summer In Paris, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Aurealis Endeavour. 

GCH CH Excelsias This Side Of Paradise 

Her BIS was the Golden, Willis, and her RBIS, the Doberman, Hedda. It was the first BIS of 2015 for Willis and breeder/owner/handler Tonya Struble. Congratulations to Tonya, co-breeder Mark Struble, and owner Cathy Meddaugh.

SPANISH IMPORT BIS IN SACRAMENTO

Lordbull Larry 

It’s a big Terrier weekend in Sacramento CA where the Northern California Terrier Association hosted limited breed shows on Thursday and Friday. Terrier aficionados could not have asked for a more exciting outcome at Saturday’s Sacramento Kennel Club show where the White Bull Terrier, Lordbull Larry, came from the classes to take the nearly 400 strong Terrier Group and go on to claim the Best In Show from judge Cindy Vogels.

Challenging Larry for the win were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Foxboro N Shardust Authentic, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH DC Nefer-Temu Vou Te Contar MC LCX, the RBIS, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Ogee Saltus Ze Zahrabske, the Havanese, GCH CH Bellatak Vallees Maximum Dream, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Sabe’s Simply Invincible, and the Norwegian Buhund, GCH CH Jotunn Bella Binna. 

It was the first AKC show for the Spanish import. Larry is a multiple champion in Europe and at barely three years old is just hitting his stride. We hope to see this one soon. Congratulations to breeder Andreu Martinez, owner Zane Smith, and handler Ed Thomason.

SATURDAY IN COLORADO

GCH CH Foxtails Race for the Chase

The Mountain Time Zone is the least populated of all areas of the US and hosts only a fraction of the shows that we see elsewhere in America. Saturday’s Terry-All Kennel Club show in Brighton CO drew more than 1300 dogs. The seven that made it to judge Angela Porpora’s final were the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Foxtails Race for the Chase, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH GCH CH Dynasty's Br Donald Rockfeller, the GCH CH Hilltop's GQ Cover Boy, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Belle Creek’s All I Care About Is Love, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Catalina Barefootbluejeannight.

The Beagle, JJ, grabbed the BIS while the Griff, Giorgio, picked up the RBIS. It was the second BIS in four final appearances this year for JJ.

SATURDAY IN TEXAS

GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto 

Texans are in the state capital this weekend for the hometown Austin Kennel Club’s two shows. Saturday’s final was in the hands of judge Sally Vilas. The seven dogs she considered were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Courtwood Whirly Girl, the Whippet, GCH CH Debmar Lovin Dixie SC, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Ottermask Bob’s Your Uncle, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Promenade Ring O Fire, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Tzo Wen N Xiao Mais I’ll Have Another, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Delux Forever Young.

Her Best In Show was the Swiss, Gus, and her Reserve, the Whippet, Flirt. Gus is the winningest Greater Swiss Mountain Dog of all time with 18 career BIS. This year he has three BIS and 19 Working Groups.

The Bartlesville Kennel Club took over on Saturday in Grove OK and put judge Gloria Geringer in the final ring. She would see the same seven that judge Dr Robert D Smith had seen on Friday, the Sussex Spaniel, GCH CH Kamand Tangled Up In Blue, the Saluki, GCH CH GCH CH Starlite's Made Of The Best Stuff On Earth BN RN JC, the RBIS, the Boxer, GCH CH Cherkei's Dick Tracey, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Abbeyrose Black Diamond, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What the Inferno, the Bulldog, GCH CH Wilson's I'm Your Handyman, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv' Sultry Sensation.

She would also name the Boxer, Henry her RBIS, as did Dr Smith, but she would name the Welsh Terrier, GiGi, her BIS. It was Gigi’s second BIS of the year in 16 trips to the final ring this year.

SATURDAY IN INDIANA

GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless 

The Steel City Kennel Club is hosting two shows in Crown Point IN this weekend. Saturday ended with judge Clay Coady in the final ring with the Irish Setter, GCH CH Tramore Notorious, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH kamterra’s Legato, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Fyrewyre Fit To Be Tied, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Randalets Wok N In Sunshine, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Barberry’s Take A Chance On Me, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Shadomoon’s The Competitive Edge RN CA. 

Going to the head of the line was the Whippet, Brazen, followed by the Bichon, Finn. The win makes Brazen, with six BIS and 23 Hound Groups this year, is now only a handful of points behind the Number One Hound.

ATLANTA KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn 

The country’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn, captured the biggest prize of the week, Saturday’s Atlanta Kennel Club Best In Show. 

GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power 

Challenging Rumor for the win were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Celtic Lores Moonlight And Magic CGC, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Dezperado’s Hallelujah CA CGC, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, judge Dr Michael Woods’ RBIS, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Unique Da Maya Dancing Queen. 

It was Rumor second BIS of the stop and her 22nd in 44 final appearances this year. There will be no all-breed action in Perry GA today, but the North Georgia Hound Association, the Atlanta Terrier Club, & the Greater Atlanta Toy Dog Association, will offer those three groups limited breed titles.

FIRST TIMER IN HARRISBURG

GCH CH Gala Brighton Lakeridge Reflections of Me 

The hometown Harrisburg Kennel Club took the prime Saturday spot in the four day weekend in that Pennsylvania city. This beautiful spring weekend offers up nine show venues in four time zones. The Rhode Island Kennel Club, our New England offering, hosted their opener in Warwick RI on Saturday. Judge Fred Ferris’ final seven were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Blindside, the Saluki, GCH CH Takara The Time Is Now, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Mistel’s Can Can, the The Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Markworth Sky’s the Limit, the Long Coat Chihuahua, CH Capitol’s We Aim To Please By Bayard, the Bulldog, GCH CH Pat-A-Bull’s Don Ciccio Di Pj, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn.
