The Contra Costa Kennel Club took over the Solano County Fairgrounds today and asked Elliot Weiss to choose his Best from ueste4rday’s BIS winner, the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastLane, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Vin-Melca’s Voyager, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Protocol‘s Veni Vidi Vici, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pomeranian, CH Powerpom High Performance, the French Bulldog, CH Bayhill Celebrate, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.   His best was the Elkhound, the first this year for the five year old.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Paatricia V Trotter.

FIRST OF THE YEAR FOR FOXHOUND

CH Devlon's Fame And Fortune

Our northern most shows this weekend are the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club’s two in Jordan MN, 38 miles southwest of Minneapolis.  Jane Roppolo’s final included the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter's Mt View Lookout, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon's Fame And Fortune, the Siberian Husky, CH Topaz T.R.O.U.B.L E., the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J'Cobe Broxden The Headline, the Shih Tzu, CH Olive's Grove Odd Thomas, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Ka-Ta Midnight Khan and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.  Best In Show was the Westminster breed winner, the Foxhound, Junior.  It’s Junior’s first BIS this year.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Kristin Kendall & Donald P Leonard & Kelly Leonard and handler Stanley Flowers.

KEEPING COOL IN THE HEAT

Once again our first report of the day comes from Lake Charles LA where   the final seven braved 97 degree temperatures to see BIS judge Lesley Hiltz.  They were the Clumber Spaniel, CH Moonrysn's Moon Dawg, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Boxer, CH Winfall I Dream of Style,  the Bedlington Terrier, CH Bluenotes Sweet On Carillon, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang's Chick Magnet At Asia, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Coventry Pennant Corgi.  We are not surprised that it was the stylish pair, the Beagle, Lola, and handler Marcelo Chagas, who refused to wilt in the heat, taking home BIS number eight of the year.

WEIMARANER BIS IN VALLEJO CA

Out in Vallejo CA it was day two for the Lake County Kennel Club of Northern California.  Today’s BIS judge was Paula Nykiel ad her seven options were the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastLane, the Basset Hound, CH Blossomhil's Mamma Mia, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Taplacs Invincible Vinny RN, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pomeranian, CH Powerpom High Performance, the French Bulldog, CH Bayhill Celebrate, and the Bouvie des Flandres, CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  It was the Weimaraner, Jimmie, collecting his second BIS of the year.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Cindy & Bruce Cassidy and handler Keith Pautz.

CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle

Dorothy Collier took over on day two for the Taconic Hills Kennel Club.  Her seven finalists were the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Basset Hound, CH Topfield-Sanchu Pop Art O’Bridi, the Sibeerian Husky, CH Indigo Synama Wood Imp, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Briard, CH Déjà Vu All Over Again.  It was to be back2back BIS for the Bulldog, Uli, returning to the show ring after an eight week absence   That’s career BIS number 32.

COCKER BIS IN LOUISIANA

CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction

Lake Charles LA is first in with results today.  The Acadiana Kennel Club asked Jane Forsyth to do Best In Show for their day two event.  Six of her seven finalists were holdovers from yesterday’s final, the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay’s Midnight Confesssion, the Boxer CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, and the German Shepherd dog, CH Kridler's Nutmeg V Signature, with the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang's Chick Magnet At Asia, making his first final appearance of the weekend.  Best went to the Cocker, Beckham, the country’s Number Seven Dog All Breeds.  We have this as 2010 BIS number ten for Beckham & handler Linda Pitts.

GIANT RED HEAD WINS IN VALLEJO

CH Seng Khri Bartok Of Dawa

Doris Cozart opened the four day set in Vallejo yesterday, calling the BIS for the Lake County Kennel Club of Northern California.  She had her pick of the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes Lifeinthefastlane, the Basset Hound, CH Blossomhil's Mamma Mia, the Tibetan Mastiff, CH Seng Khri Bartok Of Dawa, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pug, CH Kenshei And That’s The Way It Is, the French Bulldog, CH Bayhill Celebrate, and the Beauceron, CH Voican De La Negresse.  Her Best was the TM, Bartok.  It’s the third all breed Best In Show this year for Bartok & handler Ed Thomason.

If you have not seen a TM in person, get out to a dog show and see one.  These are truly animals with a “Wow!” factor.  We had the pleasure of seeing Bartok up close back in December and were blown away by the giant red head.  You have three more chances to get to the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo & see Bartok  and the rest of the beautiful dogs.

CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar

The Arcadiana Kennel Club opened the four day set in Lake Charles LA today with Viginia Lyne in the final ring.  She had her choice of the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Casablamca’s Thrilling Seduction, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay’s Midnight Confesssion, the Boxer CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Bichon Frise, CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the German Shepherd dog, CH Kridler's Nutmeg V Signature.  Best went to the Number One Pekingese bitch, Noel.  We have that as eleven BIS for Noel and handler Hiram Stewart.

SHE'S BA-ACK

CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle

Our weekend start with the Taconic Hills Kennel Club show in Yorktown Heights NY.  Kent Delaney had first final duty and his pick of the Field Spaniel, CH Tamarack Race You To Calico, a 15” Beagle from the classes, Langrigg Star Of the Stage,  the Akita, GCH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.  His Best was the Bullldog, Uli, back in the show ring after an eight week sabbatical.  This win puts Uli & handler Phoebe Boothe back in the Top Twenty Five Dogs All Breeds.  And just when you thought the race couldn’t get more interesting.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

The St Lawrence Valley Dog Club gave us two shows this past weekend in the upstate town of Clayton NY.  Lester Mapes was in the final ring on Saturday with the  Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Lehi’s Crytal Ball At Bluriver, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Summeri Dunharrow’s Devil Raqy, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Fallen Oak Arapahoe Bruno, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity, the Italian Greyhound, CH Infiniti Written In The Stars, the Boston Terrier, CH Margrave Cour Vosier VSOP Exclusif, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Hearthside Shopping Spree.  His BIS was the three year old Border Terrier bitch, Carrie.  It was the first all breed BIS this year for Carrie & owner/handler Ginger Scott.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Karen Fitzpatrick and owners Ray & Ginger Scott & Tom Bradley.

Sunday, she would be the only of Saturday finalists to make it back to Betty McHugh’s BIS ring.  The six necomers were the Field Spaniel, CH Freedom's Not To Be Forgotten, the Afghan Hound, CH Nachtmusik's Spirit Warrior, a yet as unnamed Newfoundland, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH South Fork's Stylish Contender, the Keeshonden, CH Ruttkay Sam I Am, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Belroyale's Liteup The Sky.  Her Best was the Afghan, Spirit.  The seven year old Canadian does not get down our way much and this is first AKC all breed BIS this year.   Congratulations to breeders/owners Ed & Johanna Granger.

SUPPORT YOUR HOMETOWN CLUB

We have a nice assortment of clusters and two day weekends coming up with a total of 32 all breed shows in 13 locations.  In the Northeast we have the Taconic Hills Kennel Club, the Greenwich Kennel Club, & the Longshore-Southport Kennel Club, giving us four shows in a manner for which the word “cluster” was invented.  THKC will do the first two shows in Yorktown Heights NY, just north of New York City, then the everyone will pack up and go across the state line to Norwalk CT for the GKC’s event 30 miles away, only to pack up after the final to return to Yorktown Heights for Sunday’s LSKC show.   In the South Central region, the Acadiana Kennel Club & the Calcasieu Kennel Club team for four shows, all at the same show grounds in Lake Charles LA.  Likewise West Coast exhibitors benefit from the Lake County Kennel Club Of Northern California & the Contra Costa County Kennel Club, clubs hundreds of miles apart, who managed to agree on a convenient site in Vallejo CA at the Solano County Fairgrounds.  

Our remaining shows are all of the two day variety mostly with a hometown club theme.  In the Mid Atlantic, you have your choice of two in Fisherville VA with the Skyline Kennel Club or two in Fletcher NC with theAsheville Kennel Club.   Great Lakes residents can try the Mckinley Kennel Club in Canton OH, the Mount Pleasant Michigan Kennel in Club in Mt Pleasant Mi, the WheatWA on Kennel Club in Wheaton IL, or the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club in Jordan MN.   Further south there’s the Paducah Kennel Club’s two shows in Paducah KY.   In addition to the Vallejo shows, western offerings include two in Colorado Springs with the Colorado Springs Kennel Club, in Flagstaff AZ with the Flagstaff kennel Club, and Puyallup with the Pullayup Valley Dog Fanciers & the Tacoma Kennel Club.  It’s a good weekend to support your hometown dog club.  Visit your local AKC show and wonder at the marvelous pure bred dogs.

PASADENA CA

Our last stop of the evening is Pasadena CA, one of California’s most traditional spots.  It was the Kennel Club of Pasadena hosting and Dr James D Sillers calling BIS on Saturday.  His super seven were the English Setter, CH Esthete’s Claudette Monet, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Bernese Mountain Dog. CH Taplacs Invincible Vinny RN, the Miniature Schnauzer. CH Allaruth Solebay Chipotholdblok, the Maltese, CH C and M’s Pretty Petunia, the Bichon Frise, PaRay’s Pop Quiz, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kaleef-Von Martin Dante Divino HTPT.  Best went to the multi BIS, Rhodesian, Ikaika.  It’s his second this year.

CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss And Tell

On Sunday Marcie Dobkin saw the same an all new seven, the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes Lifeinthefastlane, the Bloodhound, CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss And Tell, the Boxer, CH Duba Dae's Who's Your Daddy, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Black Watch On The Rocks, the Pomeranian, CH Powerpom High Performance, the French Bulldog, CH Bayhill Celebrate, the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalons Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  Best went to the Bloodhound, Kissy.  Kissy and handler Bruce Schulz now have three all breed Best to their name.

THREE DAYS IN NORTH DAKOTA

West Fargo ND was one of only two sites offering exhibitors an extended weekend of dog shows.  The Fargo-Moorhead Kennel Club started the fun on Friday with  Wayne Bousek in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Tagalong’s Boy Oh Boy, the Whippet, CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Shalimar’s Golden Ticket, the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscot’s Poker Chip, the Shih Tzu, CH Olive Grove Odd Thomas, the Bulldog, CH Evergreen’s Hullabaloo Hustle, and the German Shepherd Dog, Zytut’s Say It Isn’t So.  Best went to the country’s Number Four Terrier, the Norwich, Pokey.  We have it as number four this year for Pokey and handler Brenda Combs.

CH Tagalong’s Boy Oh Boy

Saturday brought Shelley Hennesy and the previously mentioned Springer & Shih Tzu, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Tevro’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Broxden’s The Headline, the Miniature Poodle, CH Amity Mystical Horizon’s heaven Sent, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Chargany’s Voyageur.  Her Best was the Springer, Liam.  We think this just might be his first BIS ever.  Congratulationbs to breeder/owner Sarah Kraft.  Robert Shreve closed it out on Sunday with the Liam, the previously mentioned Whippet, Doberman, & Norwich, the Havanese, CH Hearatland Keeping The Secret, the Standard Poodle, CH Swag’s Electric Slide, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Margaux’s Venture Capital.  It was the big Poodle, Cruz, taking home the last rosette of the weekend.   Again, we believe this to be another first time BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Terri Meyers and owner Kristen Gerdesmeier.

We will backtrack across the Mississippi to our backyard in Southaven MS just over the state line from Memphis.  The Olive Branch Mississippi Kennel Club managed to pack a lot of quality, if not a lot of quantity, in its two shows.  On Saturday BIS judge Jon Cole had his pick of the Golden Retriever, CH My Buddys Boppity-Bop Blue Moon, the Basenji, CH Ab-Rafiki The Icon Of Cool, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist War Admiral, the Border Terrier, CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH Starpons Mustang Sally Rae.  He chose the nine year old Schipperke, a multiple BIS winner.  Congratulations to breeders Amy Gossman & Gene Johnson,  A Gossman, M Jameson MD & P Allison, and handler Erin J Roberts.

Sunday, they judging book was passed to Francine Schwartz who had a final with the above named Sammie, Border Terrier, Peke, & Schipperke, the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Kimbar-Picabo Tandancer, the Basset Hound, CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Limericks Shakespeare.  She chose the Basset, Timmy.  It’s the first BIS this year for Timmy & handler Bryan Martin.  Congratulations to Bryan and  breeders/owners Claudia Orlandi, Claire Steidel, & Sue Frischmann.

MISSOURI RESULTS

CH Aviators Luck Be A Lady

We are hopping the Mississippi River to visit Gray Summit MO where the Mississippi Valley Kennel Club spent the weekend at Purina Farms.  On Saturday it was Bruce Schwartz with the Gordon Setter, CH Firethorn & Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes, the American Foxhound, CH Kelly Mt American Idol, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviators Luck Be A Lady, the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Doubloons Salt Of The Earth, the Havanese, CH Gingerbred Yukon Jack Desiderio, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Cedar C Barnstorms L & D Edition, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH  Foxwood An Affair To Remember.  Best went to the lucky PWD, Ladybug.  Make that six BIS for Ladybug and handler Amy Rutherford, five in the last five weeks.

Sunday Michael Dougherty saw Ladybug, the same Gordon, Wheaten, & Tibetan Terrier, the Whippet, CH Cove Creek Minuette, the Papillion, CH Namaste Kopella Next Top Model, and the Canaan Dog, CH Madriver Cool Breeze Blowing.  His BIS was the Gordon, Carson.  That’s three for Carson & handler Eileen Hackett in 2010.

WOODSTOCK IL

CH Tyrolian Eight Belles At Meadowlake

The Fox River Valley Kennel Club gave us two more shows in Woodstock IL.  On Saturday Douglass Holloway Jr had the judges book in the final ring and the seven, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the American Foxhound, CH Kiarry’s Foolish Pride, the Akita, CH Kumakura’s Royal Flush, the Border Terrier, CH Tyrolian Eight Belles at Meadowlake, the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Chow Chow, CH Imagine Love’s Second Chance, and the Border Collie, CH Border Lane Jp Talisman Forever.  First day BIS went to the Border Terrier, Belle.  That’s number two this year for Belle.

Sunday, Belle, the Foxhound, the Shih Tzu, & the Border Collie were all back to see BIS judge Sandy Wheat.  They were accompanied by the Golden Retriever, Summit Emerys Its In The Bag, the Boxer, CH Jokers Blonde Ambition Of Happy Tails, and the Bichon Frise, CH Riane’s GloryB Stepping Out In Style.  Her choice for Best In Show was the Boxer, a dog which we can find no information on, an exceedingly rare occurrence here.  Our congratulations to everyone involved with him/her.

SUNDAY IN INDIANA

Our next report comes from Corydon IN and Sunday’s Southern Indiana Kennel Club show.  Judy English Murray had the final call and her choice of the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorters Mt.View Lookout, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Elfin Dance, the Siberian Husky, CH Topaz T.R.O.U.B.L.E., the Welsh Terrier, CH Marydale's Limited Edition, the Shih Tzu, Wenrinck's Best Bet , the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chao Yang's Take It To The Limit, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.  Best went to the two year old Shar-Pei, his third this year.

CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus

If you want our nominee for a DOG2WATCH to watch, it would be the Greyhound, CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus.  Era & handler have been burning up the circuit these last few weeks, with the latest BIS coming yesterday in Charlottesville VA at the Charlottesville - Albemarle Kennel Club show under Dr Bud McGivern.   Also on hand in the final were the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Double-R's Eye Of The Hurricane, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirit's Lion King, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Lil'Itch Steeplechase, the Pug, CH WooWoo Serendipity, the Lhasa Apso, CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Rough Collie, CH Fantasy's Rock Ledge Beginning.  With ten BIS trophies on the mantle, Era now has entered the Top Fifteen Dogs All Breeds.

PENNSYLVANIA SATURDAY

Our next stop is Wrightstown PA where we had a three show weekend where you may recall that we gave you a report on Friday and Sunday.  Here’s what we left out.  Saturday, the Huntingdon Valley Kennel Club asked Arlene Czech to choose a Best In Show from the Irish Setter, CH Marlyn All  About Magic, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the the Rottweiler. CH D’Oro Solido’s Feliciano Uno, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry’s Surely You Jest, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Boston Terrier, CH Classic’s To Be Or Not To Be, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Equinox Ad Astra.  She chose the Toy Poodle, Walker.  Walker & handler Kaz Hosaka have been a major force for the past 24 months and now have nine all breed BIS this year.

WRENTHAM MA

We had a very interesting weekend with lots of new dogs and dramatic matchups.  So without further ado, let’s get to it.  Our first stop this morning is Wrentham MA.  On Saturday it was the Ladies Dog Club hosting and Jackie Stacy judging BIS.  She had her pick of the Irish Setter, CH Shadagxee Cvaught Red Handed, the Afghan Hound, CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Newfoundland, CH Bowater's Even Now, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the King Charels & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Standard Poodle, CH Janeva Absolute, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Deja Blu Deal Me In.  Her Best was the Afghan, Mowgli.  It was the second BIS this year for Mowgili.

Sunday Thomas H. Bradley III was in the final ring for the Framingham District Kennel Club.  He saw the same Irish Setter, Afghan, & Irish Terrier, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Catawba's Take No Prisoners, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro's Soldier Boy, the Dalmatian, CH Blackthorns Flower Power, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.  He chose the Irish Terrier, Fynn.  Fynn has been the Number One Irish Terrier for the last two years and is currently the Number Six Terrier with two all breed BIS.

CH Highwood’s Big Shot

We head out to the Pacific Northwest to check in on the folks in Yakima WA.  Desmond Murphy chose the French Bulldog, CH Highwood’s Big Shot, as his BIS out of a final that included the Labrador Retriever, Jonvaler Woodrow Warila, the Saluki, CH Carma's Indian Summer, the Samoyed, CH Sassillie'N Bruins Tomahawk, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Bullblade Blood & Honour, the Pomeranian, CH Valcopy Jamel Lets Rumble, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Winsorcastle's Foxlore Tymless.  It was the first top prize this year for the nation’s Number One French Bulldog, Willie.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Alexandra Vorbeck, co-breeder Perry Payson, and handler Alvin (Beep) Lee.

We have some partial results from today’s Flatirons Kennel Club show in Longmont CO.  Norm Patton made it BACK2BACK BIS for the Pug, CH Kenshai's And That The Way It Is.  Also among the finalists were the Brittany, CH Willowick Talltean, the 15" Beagle, CH Belcanto Flags A'Flyin, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Spyglass's Legend of Bahai, the Welsh Terrier, CH Bayleigh Shaireab's Super Hero, the Boston Terrier, CH Gumbo-Kean's Cosmic Stargazer, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl.  All four of Walter’s BIS have come in the last two months.  You may recall we told you that Walter is a half brother to 2008/2009 top ranked Pug, CH Tupelo Shoboat Tu China Tu and is backed by the Pug savy team of breeders Sheila Kessler & Patt Kolesar, and owners Sheila Kessler & Kent Meyer & owner/handler Doug Huffman.  All that adds up to our newest DOG2WATCH.

BEAGLE BRAVES TORNADO FOR BIS

Exhibitors in Maumee OH for the Toledo Kennel Club’s two shows this weekend braved tornadoes to compete.  Seven that were rewarded by a visit to Susan St Joh Brown’s final today were the Clumber Spaniel, CH Clussexs See You Later Alligator, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay  Midnight Confession, the Berense Mountain Dog, CH Adesa Floats Like A Butterfly, the Standard Manchester Terrier, CH Lazar’s Ring Of Fire, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniels, CH Royalist Ready To Reign, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Miniature Poodle, CH Dassin Hillwood Dierks Bentley, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Myshara’s Dream Girl.   And it was that very good Beagle named after a very bad girl, Lola, seducing another BIS judge for her seventh all breed Best of the year.

We have spent a good portion of today shopping for a new notebook computer.  And have returned home to find we have lot’s of show reports to pass on.  First from Wrightstown PA we have results from today’s Burlington County Kennel Club show.  It was Judith Goodith and the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry’s Surely You Jest, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moonwalk, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Shenawood’s Ain’t Nothin’New To Me, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Brimar’s Always Mandrake JH.  She chose the Whippet, Chanel, known as Cha Cha to her close friends, as her best.  It was her second BIS of the set.  Chanel is already the Number One Hound and the Number Nine Dog All Breeds.  We suspect that she may move up two or three spots after this weekend.

We go back to the east coast for our next report from Charlottesville VA where the Charlottesville - Albemarle Kennel Club asked Peter Baynes his opinion on Best in show.  He considered the Pointer, CH Marjetta Rave Review JH, the Greyhound, CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirit Lion King, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Lil’Itch Steeplechase, the Shih Tzu, CH Krissy’s Malibu Dreams, the Shiba Inu, CH Mo’s Grand Thunderstorm, and the Rough Collie, CH Fantasy’s Rock Ledge Beginning.  He chose the Greyhound, Era as his Best.  Era & Rindi Gaudet have been one of the most consistent pairs on the show circuit these past few months.  Mark this one as BIS number nine this year.

We start this morning in Yakima WA with results from Saturday’s Yakima Valley Kennel Club show. Alane Gomez final included the Brittany, CH Vem Country Mile, the Saluki, CH Carma's Indian Summer, the Newfoundland, CH Bigdogfarm Oh My Baby Huey, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Bullblade Blood And Honour, the Silky Terrier, CH Bar-B's Tawnymist Topias, the Lhasa Apso, CH Sundancer Aleksandra, and the Smooth Collie, CH Sunnland's Tom Terrific.  Her Best was the Newfie, Huey.  We believe this is his first all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeder Andrea Cook and owners Lee & Rick Cole.
