RARE BACK2BACK BIS

GCH CH Sunup’s Parliament

The Warrenton Kennel Club had so much fun putting on their show in Millwood VA yesterday that they decided to do it all over again today and the English Fox Hound, GCH CH Sunup’s Parliament, had so much fun winning the BIS yesterday, he decided to do it again today.

Joining Parley in Donavan Thompson’s final were the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, GCH CH Fireside’s Rio Grande JH, the Samoyed, GCH CH McMagic's Candied Ham Of Pebblesrun, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Br’er Fox Grushen’Ka Zabava, the Papillon, GCH CH Lafford Fly Me Too Farleybane, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Equinox Ad Astra.

It was just yesterday that Parley got his first Group One and BIS.  We are not sure when the last time an English Foxhound got back2back BIS, if ever, but we do know it’s a rare thing for AKC’s rarest breed.

SUFFOLK COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Ta-Jon’s Just Bee-Ing Silly

The Suffolk County Kennel Club had today’s show in the Long Island Leapfrog cluster and they chose to hold it in St James NY.

RARE RARE BREED BIS

GCH CH Sunup’s Paliament

Before we get into today’s results, we have some Friday results for you.  The Warrenton Kennel Club kicked off the all breed action in Millwood VA yesterday with their day one show.  Robert Vandiver mulled over the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Brookwood Diamond in the Ruff, the English Foxhound, GCH CH Sunup’s Paliament, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Blumoon's Tanzenite v Blackrock, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Br’er Fox Grushen’Ka Zabava, the Papillon, GCH CH Lafford Fly Me Too Farleybane, the Keeshond, CH Shainakees Abundant Asset Is Mercy, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Lanstarr Squire Talfryn O’Boyle.

Best went to the Foxhound, Parley.  We love it when a rare breed takes a BIS and they don’t get much rarer than the English Foxhound, which ranks dead  last in AKC registrations with just 17 dogs registered in 2010.  It is the first Hound Group & the first all breed BIS for Parley.  Our congratulations to breeders Cornelia Dettmer MD & Sue Whaley, and owners Maggie Heile & Craig Heile.  Our thanks to them all for keeping this great breed before the American public.
