AS GOOD AS IT GETS

We get a lot of mail about up and coming dogs and, truthfully, most are pretty good prospects.  Some impress  us enough to make our DOG2WATCH list.  Now and then we get one that really takes off, like the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore.  Encore was Butch MacDonald’s pick for BIS at today’s Coos Kennel Club show in Bandon OR.  She was accompanied in the final by the English Springer Spaniel, CH Darkover Don't Dream it's Over, the Saluki, CH Camas Indian Summer, the Akita, CH MoJo's Rock'n Your World, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Boardwalk's Bling Bling, the Havanese, CH Askin Steppin' To The Bad Side, and the Puli, CH Lagosmegyi Singin' In The Rain.  It was her fifth BIS in a row and her seventh in the last nine shows.  That’s as impressive as it gets.

TEXAS KENNEL CLUB

The Texas Kennel Club asked William deVilleneuve to choose a Best In Show today.  He had his choice of the Welsh Springer Spaniel,  CH Clussexx Rolyarts Payola, the Whippet, CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Shalimars Golden Ticket, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Dalriada’s Mystic, the Pug, Ch Kenshei As You Like It, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready HOF, and the Border Collie, CH Sportingfields Reflection O Borderfame.  His choice was the Whippet, Tawny.  Tawny and handler Amada Giles have been regulars in the winner’s circle these past two years and have seven BIS this year.

Day three in West Friendship MD had Dr Jose Luis Payro choosing a BIS for the Upper Marlboro Kennel Club.  His options were the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Saluki, CH Cat Tales Cat Mandu, the Great Pyrenees, CH Rivergrove’s Trump This, the Welsh Terrier, CH Tertails National Treasure, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Chow Chow, CH Liontamer’s Dial 1-800 Hotstuff, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler’s Nutmeg V Signature.   BIS went to DOG2WATCH, the Great Pyrenees, Trump.  Trump now has three BIS this year, all since the end of May.

Charlotte Clem McGowan was in West Springfield MA for today’s Farmington Valley Kennel Club final.  Her seven were the Brittany, CH Willowick Talltean, the Borzoi, CH Greyhaven Wizard’s Crystal, the Bocer, CH Mahogany's Mi Own Sweet Time, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Show Biz Razzle Dazzle, and the Beardedc collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.  Her Best was the Brittany, Tally.  it’s the second BIS this year for this year’s Westminster Sporting Group Winner.

Our first Saturday report is in.  The 15” Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Confession, has won today’s Genesee Valley Kennel Club in Hamlin NY.  Joining Lola in Dr Robert Indeglia’s final were the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Cal-I-Co Kiss The Girls, the Siberian Husky, CH Nahani Starlyte Vajra, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Talydle Friend Of The Force, the Italian Greyhound, CH Deerfield’s Jackosn Cage, a  French Bulldog from the Puppy Classes, Foxmoor Le Jouet Petite Cherie, and the Old English Sheepdog, Ladykin’s Femme Fatale.  That’s ten BIS for the country’s Number Five Hound.

GCH CH My Buddy's Boppity-Bop Blue Moon RN WC VC SDHF

We do have some partial results for you this morning. The Golden Retriever, GCH CH My Buddy's Boppity-Bop Blue Moon RN WC VC SDHF was BIS at yesterday’s Greater Collin Kennel Club show in Dallas TX.  It was Blue’s fist all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeders Leeah Chew & Karen S Brady, owners Leeah Chew & Jim & Alisa Andras and owner handler Brianna Bischoff.

CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout

In Sedalia MO, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, tied the breed record for most all breed Best In Shows, collecting his 29th at Friday’s Jefferson City Missouri Kennel Club show. Scout was bred by Helen Witt & Claire Wisch & Kelly Wisch, is owned by Kiki Courtelis,& James Witt & Helen Witt & Joyce Wilkinson, and handled by Frank Murphy.  Congratulations to them all.

We have a few more details for you about the Friday's giant Channel City Kennel Club event in Ventura CA.  Among the finalists were the Irish Setter, CH Greengate Buzz Lightyear, the Basset Hound, CH Splash's The Professor, the Rottweiler, CH Parisans Helo Of Riverridge, the Airedale Terrier, CH Sherwood’s King Arthur, the Pekingese, CH Pequest One Moment In Time, the Bulldog, Untouchables One Tough Cookie, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Mon Amie Dragon Rider.  BIS went to the Airedale, Arthur.  It’s the Second all breed BIS this year for the country’s Number One Airedale.

NEW NUMBER ONE DOG ALL BREEDS!

Temperatures throughout the Northeast have been blazing hot these past few days.  So we would expect that our top ten would turn up the heat in the quest for higher rankings.  In West Friendship MD. The Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, continued his quest for the Number One ranking with another BIS, taking today’s Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club top prize.  Malachy had to best the the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Welsh Terrier, CH Teritails National Treasure, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Tibroke‘s Kissed By A Star, the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler’s Nutmeg V Signature.  There’s still lots of weekend to go, but, for at least one night, Malachy is the Number One Dog All Breeds.

SEEING RED IN MASSACHUSETTS

Madelene Fish had the judge’s book on day three in West Springfield MA, calling the BIS for the Kenilworth Kennel Club Of Connecticut.  She had her choice of the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Afghan Hound, CH Shenandoah Smoke And Mirrors, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Alisaton The Flight Of The Phoenix, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry’s Surely you Jest, the Pug, CH Rivdersong’s Broadway Joe, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Bearded Collie, Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.   She chose the Irish Setter, Emily.  Emily and handler Adam Bernardin have been winning the big ones all year and are sure to be in the hunt through the end of the year.  We have this as their 20th this year.

The Catoctin Kennel Club asked Paula Hartinger to do the first of four finals in West Friendship MD and her final seven was an all star group that included three of the Top Five Dogs All Breeds, the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Welsh Terrier, CH Teritails National Treasure, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Lhasa Apso, CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Australian Shepherd, CH CH Brookridge Pop Secret.   She chose the Number Two Dog in the US, the Peke, Malachy.  Malachy continues to challenge for the Number One spot, picking up 2010 BIS number 25.

The Basenji, CH Wakill Signet Dooney, has posted BAC2BACK BIS in West Springfield MA taking today’s Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club show and she did it by besting some of the best dogs in the game.  Joining her in Rey Burgos’ final were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirit’s Lion King, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Affenpinscher, CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Schipperke, CH De LaMer Point Break, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.   Dooney and handler Stacy Snyder-Work now have two all breed BIS.

WEEK'S FIRST RESULTS

The Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club opened our week in West Springfield MA with Daniel J Smyth in the final ring with the Brittany, CH Jmat’s Find Just Keep Swimmin’, the Basenji, CH Walkill Signet Dooney, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Alisaton The Flight Of The Phoenix, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Steele Your Heart, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Schipperke, CH De LaMer Point Break, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Laxfields Tony Soprano.   It was the Basenji , Dooney, picking up her first all bred BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Tonda Curry, co-breeder Brenda Cassell, and handler Stacy Snyder-Work.

THE WEEKEND IS HERE!

While we were scrambling for the missing results for this past week, the new week crept up on us.  Our first show this week is the Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club ‘s first of two today kicking off a five day stop in West Springfield MA.  The NVKC will be followed by shows hosted by the Kenilworth Kennel Club Of Connecticut, the Farmington Valley Kennel Club, & the Holyoke Kennel Club. 

Other major clusters this weekend are the four shows in West Friendship MD of the Catoctin Kennel Club, the Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club, the Upper Marlboro Kennel Club, & the National Capital Kennel Club. the three shows in Dallas TX from the Greater Collin Kennel Club, the Texas Kennel Club, & the Trinity Valley Kennel Club, and the three shows in Ventura CA by the Channel City Kennel Club, the Santa Maria Kennel Club, & the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association.  There are also three shows in Sedalia MO courtesy of the Jefferson City Missouri Kennel Club & the Sedalia Kennel Club and , if you’re up for some adventure, three in Soldotna AK with the Kenai Kennel Club.

Our remaining shows are of the two day, Saturday/Sunday variety.  Try the Genesee Valley Kennel Club in Haml;in NY, the Huntington Kennel Club in Huntington WV, the Jupiter-Tequesta Dog Club, West Palm Beach FL, the Ann Arbor Kennel Club in Monroe MI, the Greater Dekalb Kennel Club in De Kalb IL, or the Coos Kennel Club in Bandon OR .  It’s another perfect weekend to catch a glimpse of the greatest examples of canine perfection anywhere, AKC purebred dogs.

We now have results from this past weekend’s Sioux Valley Kennel Club shows in Le Mars IA.  Saturday’s show featured a final with JoAnn Dutton and the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the 15” Beagle, CH Skyline’s Big Wheel, the Great Dane, CH Zarline Ace-Hi’s Little GTO, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Nileefox Dirty idea, the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Emoire’s Smooth Moves, and the Shetland Sheepdog, Karmuns Con Artist.  Her BIS was the Affenpinsher, Indy, his first BIS this year.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Carol Carlyl and owners Stephanie Hill, Alex Romero & Sandra Jones.

Sunday Lewis Bayne saw the same GWP, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the Siberian Husky, CH Topaz T.R.O.U.B.L.E., the Bedlington Terrier, CH GlaurieusTop Super Mod Elle, the Havanese, CH Heartland Keeping The Secret, the Dalmatian, CH Royalty’s Taylormade Call Me Sit, and the Rough Collie, CH C&J Westwood Story Book.  He chose as his BIS the Bedlington, the first this year for the breed.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Laurie & Wayne Friesen.

We still have some lagging weekend results for you.  From Mt Vernon WA where the Bell Vernon Kennel Association hosted two shows, we can tell you that Saturday’s show featured William Russel with the Irish Wateer Spaniel, CH Poole’s Ide Got Water RN, the Afghan Hound, CH Stormhill’s Sweet Dreams Of Raffica, the Boxer, CH Duba-Dae’s Who’s Your Daddy, the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Doubloon’s Salt Of The Earth, the Papillion, CH Zelicaon Butch Cassidy At Draco, the Bulldog, CH Stellars Usual Suspect, and the Puli, CH Lajosmegyi Singin In The Rain.  His Best was the Puli. Kelley.  We have that as his third this year.

Sunday Larry Sinclair saw the same Boxer, Papillion, & Bulldog, the Golden Retriever, CH Rush Hill’s River Road Pay Off, the Saluki, CH Karma’s Indian Summer, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Fraja Ne Gold Ticket, and the Icelandic Sheepdog, Pineridge Kolperla.  His BIS was the Boxer, Bosco, pickng up his eighth top prize of the year.

BUCKTHORN VALLEY KC

Next we head out west to Loveland CO for a report on the Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club‘s two shows.   Being the only AKC show for 750 miles has its advantages as the BVKC drem some of the largest entries of the weekend.  On Saturday, with over 1400 dogs entered, Leah Ryan had a final full of talent, the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Autmn’s Staqrdust And Roses, the Whippet, CH Stafline’s Chanel, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Spyglass’s Legend Of Bahia, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Lindenka Delta, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody’s Regarding Henry, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje’s Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl.  His BIS was the Shar-Pei, her second this year.

Sunday, the judge’s book passed to Michael Chaloux.  The Whippet, the Maltese, & the OES, all returned for a second try.  Making their first final of the weekend were the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Mardi Gras Strut the Stage, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Adair’N’Hug’s Wonderful Life, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Dalriad MKG High Voltage, and the French Bulldog, CH Floresta Ramnes Riddle Me This RN.  He chose the OES, Georgie as his Best.  Georgie and handler Colton Johnson have stayed mostly close to their Colorado home this year, but have managed to stay in the Top Fifteen Dogs All Breeds most of the year.

Down in the Deep South, we had four shows this week in Hattiesburg MS.  We told you all about the   first show of the weekend with Lee Canalizo calling the final.  She had her pick of the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Touchstone's O Solo Mio, the Whippet, CH Karasar's Par Excellence, the Boxer, CH Carillon's MVP, the Colored Bull Terrier, Glentom's You Were Mint For Me, the Chinese Crested, CH Vanitonia Devil Wears Prada, Thursday’s BIS winner, the Keeshond, CH Trumpet's Shoot To Thrill, and the German Shepherd Dog, Zyut's Java Of Hicliff.  Her Best was the Cocker, Solo. Solo is new to us and we hope to bring you more on this dog.

Saturday, it was the GHKC’s turn to host again and they asked Don Rodgers to look over the final seven.  He saw the above named Cocker, Whippet, Boxer, & Keeshond, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Foxxsake American Spirit, the Affenpinscher, CH Ferlin’s Its All About Me, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH To-Jo Tune In Theodore Lanward.  He chose as his BIS, the Whippet, Laynee.  It’s the first BIS this year for Laynee and breeder/owner/handler Kerrie Kupper.  Congrats all around.

Sunday the MMKC closed the set with Dr Donald Gill doing the last final.  His seven included previous  BIS winners, the Black Cocker, Solo, and the Keeshond, Hunter, the Whippet, CH Krislyn Debmar Buckle Bunny, the Doberman Pinscher,  CH Horizon's Upper Echelon, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Bluenote's Sweet On Carillon, the Havanese, CH Harbor's Petunia Pinkle Bottom, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lin-Kel Nanteos Bronwyn.  Once again it was our mystery cocker, Solo with a BIS.  We’re still looking for details.

Our next stop is in West Bend WI where there was an Elvis sighting over the weekend.  No, not the singer, the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv’s Gambolon Blue Thunder, call name Elvis.  Elvis and breeder/owner/handler Jere Marder swept both of the Kettle Moraine Kennel Club‘s two shows this weekend.  On Saturday Dorothy Christiansen final seven included Elvis, the Weimarner, CH Bowbent Carousels Perfect World, the Otterhound, CH Adeline’s Sticky Wicket, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist War Amiral, the Norwich Terrier, CH Abbedale Take Two At Taliesin, the Pug, CH Kenshei And That’s The Way It Is, and the Tibetan Terrier, CH Rilee’s Stellar Performance, and the Old English Sheepdog,   Sunday, Elvis and Sally Baugniet were joined by the same Norwich, Pug, & Tibetan Spaniel, the Flat Coat Retriever, CH Torwood Ace Dresser, the Basset Hound, CHC Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, and the Bullmastiff, CH Wardens Dancing In the Barz. It was the fifth and sixth BIS of the year for Elvis.

The Sandusky Kennel Club, one of only two clubs holding shows yesterday, closed the holiday weekend with Dolores Maltz and the English Setter, CH Kaska's Capture The Moment, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Rottweiler, CH Cammcastles Friar Tuck, the Standard Manchester Terrier, CH Saint Lazar's Ring Of Fire, the Havanese, CH Qbuin's Happy Feet At Enginuity, the Schipperke, CH Sadevel's Light My Fire, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Macdega Affirmed.  Her BIS was AKC’s Number One Beagle, Lola.  It’s BIS number nine this year for Lola and breeder/owner/handler Marcelo Chagas.

Our next stop is the upstate town of Bainbridge NY where New York dog fanciers had four shows to entertain them.  Betty-Ann Stenmark kicked it off Thursday for the Chenango Valley Kennel Club.  She had a powerhouse final with the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Saluki, CH Ahmadi Ti Sir With Luv, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Heritage Billy Flynn, the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Tibroke’s Kissed By A Star, and the Briard Déjà Vu All Over Again.  Best went to the country;s Number Three Dog All Breeds, the Boxer Scarlet.  BIS #19 keeps Scarlett and handler Diego Fernando Garcia hot on the heels of the top two.

Friday Dr Klaus Anselm was on board for the Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club and greeted the same Irish Setter, Boxer, Shih Tzu, & Briard, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Kuluta Along The Watchtower, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Manoir’s Match Pointe, and the Standard Poodle, Vetset Kate Winsit.  You can now count it as 20 BIS for the Boxer Scarlet.

Saturday, Joan Anselm took over for the Kanadasaga Kennel Club and went over the previously mentioned Irish Setter, Saluki, Shih Tzu, & Poodle.  Making their first final appearance were the Doberman Pinscher, CH Mi-Ti’s Three Cheers, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock’s Sbigstaff Mad About You,   and the Norwegian Bunhund, CH Kimura’s Dorothea.  Her Best was DOG2WATCH, the AmStaff, Maddy.  That’s five for Maddy and handler Kim Rudzik this year, all since April.

Sunday, Carole Beattie’s choices for the Susque-Nango Kennel Club‘s Best were the  above named Irish Setter, Saluki, & Boxer, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity, the Italian Greyhound, CH Terra Pavan Bright  Rising, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Atisha’s VSOP Courvoisier, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Macdega Apropos.  Her BIS was the US’ Number Four Dog All Breeds, the Irish Setter, Emily.  Emily and handler Adam Bernardin now have 19 all breed Bests this year.

It’s time to start our Monday morning cross country wrap up.  We begin in Wrentham MA where we had a quartet of shows this weekend.  You have the results from Thursday & Friday.  Here’s the rest.  On Saturday it was Joseph F Joly III in the final ring for the Hockamock Kennel Club.

His final seven were the Irish Setter, CH Greengates The Boss At Beaubriar, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam's Busiris Ra Qena JC SC MC LCX, the Akita GCH CH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry's Surely You Jest, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro's Soldier Boy, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Firetown's Out Of The Blue, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.   His Best was the multi titled Pharaoh Hound. Sirus.  It was the first AKC BIS for Sirus.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Dominic Corota & Stephen Sipperly and handler Stacy Snyder-Work.

Sunday the Wapanoag Kennel Club and Rafael De Santiago would see the same Irish Setter, Akita, Scottie, and Beardie, a different Pharaoh Hound, DC Kamosets Nefertum Benu SC, the Affenpinscher, CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari and the Dalmatian, CH Blackthorns Flower Power.   Believe it or not, his BIS was the Pharaoh Hound, Benu.  Benu picked up his first American BIS, becoming the third Pharaoh Hound to win a top prize this weekend.  That’s got to be some kind of record.  Congratulations to breeders Phil & Darleen Dimor, owners Michael & Elizabeth, and handler Brian Still.

As a Cairn Terrier owner, we are sympathetic to those breeds that seem to never make it home with a red, white & blue rosette.  Today one of those breeds went home with a red, white & blue souvenir of the holiday weekend in Bel Alton MD.  The Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Open Button, was Christopher Tilghman Neale’s BIS choice at today’s Rock Creek Kennel Club show.   Opie’s fellow finalists were the Irish Setter, CH Marlyn All About Magic, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Alisaton The Flight Of The Phoenix, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Rassle Dazzle, and the Border Collie, CH Bon-Clyde’s Take One.  It was Opie’s first all breed BIS and the first by an IG since 2008.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Carol A Harris and handler Justin Smithey.

CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

There’s just something about great competitors that sets them apart, like winning big when the chips are down.  Here in the last couple of weeks, our top five dogs have been posting multiple BIS all over the country.  Saturday, we thought we might have a new Number One this week.

However the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice once again answered the challenge, closing the  big weekend in Oklahoma City with the must do Best In Show at the day two show of the Oklahona City Kennel Club.  Joining Dodger in Lorraine Boutwell’s final were a German Shorthaired Pointer to be named later, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Boxer, CH Winfall's I Dream of Style , the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler’s Nutmeg V Signature.

The four days in Oklahoma City turned out to be one of the premier stops this year.  For those of us who didn’t get to see it live, we will get a chance to see Saturday’s show televised soon.  Will keep you informed on the schedule.

BACK2BACK BIS FOR DOG2WATCH

CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore

The Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, did the BACK2BACK BIS thing in Redmond OR, taking the day two show of the Mt Bachelor Kennel Club.  Carl Liepmann had the option of choosing the Greyhound, CH Helio Foxglove at Heart, the Siberian Husky, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Pine River's Show Me the Money, the Havanese, CH Bellatak McDreamy, or the Belgian Tervuran, CH Sky Acres Spy Plane.  We chose Encore as a DOG2WATCH back in April after she won the Poodle Club of America’s National Specialty from the classes.  You can bet we will be looking for her when she ventures this way again.

LAST DAY FOR LOST COAST KC

CH Soletrader’s Donald Duck

The lost Coast Kennel Club closed their three day stay in Fernadale CA with Eva Berg doing the last final.  Her seven were a Golden Retriever from the Nine to Twelve Month Old Puppy Dog class, Flaxen Fields Faraway Four Under Par, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader’s Donald Duck, the Akita, CH Mojo’s Rock’N Your World, the  Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Warfox High Mtn Rocky Mountain High, the Pug, CH Winsome’s Trouble At Coral Bay, the Standard Poodle, CH Pennndragon Masanillo, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Terra’s Annie Z Get Your Gun.   Best went to the PBGV, Donald.  It’s the second for Donald in the last two weeks.

DAY TWO IN LIMA OH

CH Royalist Ready To Reign

Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine was in Lima OH for the Lima Kennel Club’s show, the second of the three day stand.  She had her pick of the the Gordon Setter, CH Firethorn & Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes, the 15“ Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Giant Schnauzaer, CH Skansen‘s Sir Augsut Brigs, the Border Terrier, Ch Tyrolian Eight Belles Meadowlake, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, CH Royalist Ready To Reign, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang’s Take It To The Limit, and the Australian Shepherd, Pine Tree Farms Red Barron.  She chose the Toy Spaniel, Dash, as her BIS.  It was the second this year for Dash and handler Laura King.

PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF IN MARYLAND

CH Genesis Silverado

The Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, started his week in Bel Alton MD with a BIS at the Hounds only Potomac Hound Club show on Thursday.  He followed that with Group Ones at the Southern Maryland Kennel Club’s two shows on Friday and Saturday.  Today Dylan took home the top prize at the Rock Creek Kennel Club show.  His worthy opponents in Anne Hearn’s ring were the Vizsla, CH Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther JH, the great Pyrenees, CH Rivergrove’s Trump This, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Earthsong Remedy For The Blues, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Riverside In The Dark Zone.  That’s eight all breed BIS for Dylan and handler Marcelo Veras this year as the now are close to a top 15 ranking.  That's what we call persistence.
