Houston Texas was the focus of the dog show world this weekend. With daily entries nearing the 3,000 dog mark, group placements there were worth a BIS in most venues.
We did tell you that Jon Cole’s BIS at Friday’s Houston Kennel Club show was our number one dog all breeds, the intrepid Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot. Sadie has all but sewn up the national championship, with more points in in six and a half months than the number four dog amassed in twelve in 2008.

Jon Cole’s other finalists on Friday were the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Flatbrook Royalpoint Attitude, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, CH Afterglow Ebeneezer, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, the Pekingese, CH Deja Vu True Grit From Shambala, the Lhasa Apso, CH Rushmar’s Charmer, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

Saturday, it was the Beaumont Kennel Club with Stephen Hubbel in the final ring. Back for another round were the PBGV, Ebbie, the Malamute, Player, the Scottie, Sadie, the Lhasa, Buzz, and the Puli, Conrad. Also looking for a look were the Irish Setter, CH Vineyard’s Bad Boy, and the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug.
BIS went to the Lhasa, Buzz. In just two weekends, Buzz has catapulted from the 13th highest scoring Non-Sporting dog to the fourth highest scoring. That’s all we have for now. We shall now go harass our sources for the missing results from Pennsylvania and Texas.
