DEL MONTE KC DAY ONE

Frank Washabaugh had the good fortune to be in beautiful Carmel today to call the BIS for day one of the Del Monte Kennel Club.

His options were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Silhouette’s LifeInTheFastLane, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Blossomhill Hello Dolly, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Perrisblu Kennislain‘s Cheksey, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Simply Irresistible, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Fortune’s All Eyez on Me, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH cH Mariel’s Harvest Moon.

His Best was the Malamute, Ricky.  Ricky has been a regular fixture in west coast finals for the last two years.  He is well ahead of last year’s pace with 22 Working Groups, one shy of his 2010 total.  He now has five all breed Bests this year, all coming within the last 60 days. 

SHAWNEE KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

The Shawnee Kennel Club finished up their first day in Woodstock VA with Dr Robert Smith in the final ring with the Brittany, GCH CH Carrollton’s Count Lancelot, the Basenji, GCH CH Reveille’s Push Button, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Rivergroves Coco Mademoiselle, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH McVan’s Be Bop Baby, the Papillon, GCH CH Lafford Fly Me to Farleysbane, the Standard Poodle, CH Hightide Eclipse, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Suntera City Life.

BIS was the Basenji, Button, the five year old has been a multiple finalist these past two years, but this is his first all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Damara Bolte’ and handler Jane Lodge.

GREEN MONTAIN KC DAY ONE

The Green Mountain Dog Club opened their two day stay in Tunbridge VT today and asked Charles Olvis to handle the final.

His seven hopefuls were the  Pointer, GCH CH Tahari’s To Wild To Be Serious, the 15“ Beagle, GCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Rottweiler, GCH CH D'Oro Solidos Feliciano Uno, the Welsh Terrier, CH Sarendon It Had to Be You, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I'll Be A Shostopa Tu, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight‘s Ruffian, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Absolute’s Woodlawn Oceania.

It was the Rottweiler, Lucky.  Lucky, another great dog handled by the gifted Michelle Scott, now has three BIS this year.

ASHTABULA KENNEL CLUB

Ron Menaker was in Madison OH for the final of today’s Ashtabula Kennel Club show.  The seven he saw were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Adili‘s American Idol, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Waybroke Broxden Turning Tanner, the Smooth Coast Chihuahua, GCH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight , the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Amble’s Daytime Hustler.

BIS went to the GWH, Oakley.  Oakley s first BIS was just two weeks ago.  Looks like this one has arrived.

JUPITER-TEQUESTA DOG CLUB DAY 1

In a week when 100 plus temperatures were common, fanciers in the Sunshine State were enjoying the day in West Palm Beach FL at the day one show of the Jupiter-Tequesta Dog Club.

Doris Cozart had her pick of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Gemini Fallchase The Butler Did It, the Whippet, GCH CH  Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle My Gigolo, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Pug, GCH CH Toibox Fast N Furious, the Bulldog, CH Lakeshores Can't Keep A Good Man Down, and the Old English Sheepdog, Bagatelle Moonlit River.

Her BIS was the Skye, Buddy.  Buddy and handler Larry Cornelius have won an amazing 62 Terrier Groups this year, 23 more than any other Terrier.  This was their seventh all breed Best In Show this season.

RIVERHEAD KENNEL CLUB DAY TWO

Day two of the Riverhead (NY) Kennel Club is complete and it was the Country’s Number Six Dog All Breeds, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, taking home her 20th BIS of the year.

Chanel & handler Lori Wilson were accompanied in George Boulton’s final by the English Setter, GCH CH Colthouse’s Genuine Daft, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Lancelot Chiornyy Prints RN TT CGC, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Blythewood Full Metal Jacket, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro‘s Dora The Explorer, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Salishan’s My Special Angel, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

The crowd moves the action to Morristown NJ tomorrow for the first of the Twin Brooks Kennel Club’s two shows.

RIVERHEAD KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

Rey Burgos greeted New Yorkers to today's Riverhead Kennel Club show in Riverhead NY.  His seven hopefuls were the Irish setter, GCH CH Windtide Mr Sandman, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Great Pyrenees, CH  Pyrless No-Brainer, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Blythewood Full Metal Jacket, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Foxworth Formula One, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Salishan’s My Special Angel, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

BIS was the nation’s Number One Herding Dog, the Beardie, Roy.  Roy and handler Cliff Steele now have 13 all breed Bests this year. 

GRAND RIVER KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

The Grand River Kennel Club just wrapped up their opener in Madison OH.  David Miller’s line up included the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Mzazi’s Beau du Soleil, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Waybroke Broxden Turning Tanner, the Pug, GCH CH Kenshei and That’s The Way It Is, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Myshara’s Dream Girl.

It was AKC’s Number Four Dog All Breeds, the Boxer, Scarlett.  Scarlett has been winning big shows for the last two years and has 18 big rosettes so far this season.

It was Patricia Laurans’ turn to pick a Best In Show in Tunbridzge VT today.  Her seven choices at the day two show of the Woodstock Kennel Club were the  Pointer, GCH CH Tahari’s To Wild To Be Serious, the 15“ Beagle, GCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Rottweiler, GCH CH D'Oro Solidos Feliciano Uno, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You, the Pug, GCH CH Ancoda Castlerock Stock Option, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Rinchen Sashi's Blazing Bijou D'Inde, and day one BIS winner, the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist & Shout.

Her BIS was the country’s Number Two Terrier (all breed points), the Amstaff, Maddy.  Maddy has collected an incredible 35 Terrier Group Ones this year leading to nine all breed Bests.

SAN ANTONIO TX DAY ONE

More than 1400 dogs braved the Texas heat to compete at yesterday’s Bexar County Kennel Club show in San Antonio TX.

The seven who made it to Edd Bivin’s final were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate's As You Like It, the Rottweiler, GCH CH  Chancellor High Flyin' Gladiator, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Kelaury Good Luck From We-Syng, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche's Grand Finale.

BIS at the opener in San Antonio was the three year old Bouvier.  It’s the first AKC BIS for the Canadian born dog, who was this year’s breed winner at the Westminster Kennel Club show.  Congratulations to breeders Louise and Elaine Paquette and owners Daniel & Julianna Garrison & Elaine Paquette.

WOODSTOCK DOG CLUB DAY ONE

Our first all breed show of the week was the Woodstock Dog Club’s day one show in Tunbridge VT.  Linda Scanlon had the opening salvo and her choice of the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Hitrails Clouds in My Eyes, the Saluki, CH Vogue Watch well What I Do, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Raklyns Simi of Alisaton, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You, the Pug, GCH CH Ancoda Castlerock Stock Option, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist & Shout.

Best went to the Puli, Twister, who is just shy of her sixth birthday.  It is the first for Twister who has been winning Herding Groups for the last three years.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Alice Lawrence, co-breeder Sherry Harman, and owner Steve Lawrence.

THREE DAYS IN VENTURA CA

With better than 8500 points up for grabs and the best weather available this past week, Ventura CA was an ideal place for a dog show.  One dog who took advantage of the opportunity was the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, who took home a new set of bookends, both Friday’s Channel City Kennel Club & Sunday’s Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association BIS. 

On Friday Mowgli, the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Gaia of Yoshida Enterprise Jp, the Doberman Pinscher Catawba’s Take No Prisoners, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Perrisbly Kennislain’s Chelsey, the Havanese, CH Askin Steppin to the Bad Side, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Victoire Gerie No Lemon Gemstone, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Segni at Coventry were David Markus Options.

Mowgli was on hand on Saturday to watch John Ramirez hand the Santa Maria Kennel Club’s big rosette to fellow Friday finalist, the Golden, Gaia,  They were joined by the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Pepper Tree Zorro V Morgenwald, the above named Kerry, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Kamikazi’s Hot Saki, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Lebull New Hope Wooly Bully, and the previously mentioned Corgi.  It was the 16th final appearance for Gaia and handler Laurie Jordan-Fenner and their second BIS of the year.

Keke Kahn wrapped it up on Sunday for the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association.  Before choosing Mowgli, she considered the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Shortales N Cahoots W Irondale JH, the above named Schnauzer, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscot’s Texas Hold’Em, the Pomeranian, CH Deco’s Guide to Style, the aforementioned Bichon, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Terra’s Versache.

Mowgli has been a Top Five Afghan Hound for the last three years and is currently the Number One Afghan Hound (breed points) in the US.  These are his 3rd & 4th BIS this year.  All have come in the last six weeks.  Gonna be a hot summer for this one.

GOOD WEEK FOR DOG SHOWS

We are gearing up for another big weekend of all breed shows and multiple clusters.  If you are in the Northeast, you can opt to head for Tunbridge VT for the Woodstock Dog Club’s & the Green Mountain Dog Club’s four shows or do the two by two thing with Thursday/Friday in Riverhead NY with the hometown Riverhead Kennel Club & Saturday/Sunday in Morristown NJ with the Twin Brooks Kennel Club.

There are traditional two day weekends in the Mid-Atlantic with the Shawnee Kennel Club‘s shows in Woodstock VA and in the Sunshine State with the Jupiter-Tequesta Dog Club‘s two shows in West Palm Beach FL.

Great Lakes Hound enthusiasts should not miss the Cuyahoga Valley Hound Association Thursday warm up in Madison OH followed by three all breed shows courtesy of the Grand River Kennel Club, the Ashtabula Kennel Club, & the Grand River Kennel Club.   There are also three in Marshall MI with the Holland Michigan Kennel Club & the Battle Creek Kennel Club, and three in Belvidere IL with the Blackhawk Kennel Club & the Kishwaukee Kennel Club.  The Duluth Kennel Club will do four all by themselves in their Minnesota hometown.

The rest of the country will not have as many choices, but virtually every section of the nation has at least one show offered.  Here in the South we will be at the Greater Shelby Kennel Club’s two shows in Southaven MS, just across the state line from Memphis.  Great Plains fanciers will be in Omaha NE for the Nebraska Kennel Club’s weekend.  Texans are already in San Antonio for today’s Alamo Area Toy Dog Club.  The Bexar County Kennel Club & the Comal County Kennel Club will follow with four all breed shows.

We do have shows in the Rocky Mountain Time Zone where the Roaring Fork Kennel Club will give us two in Eagle CO.   West of the Rockies your options are the Inland Empire Kennel Association’s two in Coeur D’Alene ID or the Del Monte Kennel Club’s two in the always beautiful Carmel CA.

It’s another great week to visit an AKC dog show.  Why are you waiting?

KENAI KENNEL CLUB

One of our Top Ten Dogs All Breeds headed for the Land of the Midnight Sun and Kenai AK, the home of the world’s largest Salmon this weekend.  However, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, trophies from the visit were from the Kenai Kennel Club’s three shows.

Chanel & handler Lori Wilson took advantage of the Alaskan summer to collect two BIS and three Hound Group Ones.  We don’t have all the details, but we can tell you this much.  On Saturday Chanel was challenged for Chris Walkowicz’ eye by the Irish Setter, GCH CH Glen Rose Solitary Star, the BullMastiff, Can CH Leathernecks It's a Bull's Eye, the Colored Bull Terrier, CH Magor the Minotaur from Stone Bull, the Bulldog, CH IMOK‘s Snowflake Jake, the Papillion, CH Petitchien's  Moon River, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Arctic Tern’s Sir Baskin Robbin.

On Saturday Chanel and five as yet unknown finalists watched George Marquis choose the above named Bullmastiff as his Best In Show.  It was the first AKC BIS for Arrow.  Congratulations to breeders Jean Robinson & Janet Ekstrom, and owner Chole Eull.

Sunday Chanel & Lori closed it out while the Welsh Springer, CH Royailes in the First Flush, the Bullmastiff, arrow, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Snow Winds Batteries Not Included, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Sheeba Discover The Chief, the Shiba Inu, CH Sagewood Tsunami, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH T‘Hy‘La‘s Ivanlee Court jester watched William F Potter II make the award.

The weekend brings Chanel , the Number Eight Dog All Breeds, 2011 BIS total to 19.

TIMBERLAND VALLEY DFA DAY TWO

Sunday Marion McPherson’s seven hopefuls were the Flat Coated Retriever, GCH CH Feathurquest Moonlight Sonata, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Stormhill's Sweet Dreams of Rafica, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Karnovnda‘s Tenzing, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Temris Bully for Me, the Pug, CH Moonstruck's Tangled Up In Blue, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Rough Collie, Moxie Simply Amused.

It was the Pug, Boomer, taking home his first AKC BIS.  Not yet two years old, we expect to see more from this one.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Melissa H. Standish.

The Greater Collin Kennel Club had the final final in Dallas TX yesterday.  The seven dogs trying to grab the big rosette and it’s almost 2000 points were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin' Gladiator, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH McVan's Be Bop Baby, the Pekingese, GCH CH  Windemere's Dusting Of White Of Pevyne, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Enchanted’s American Thunder.

It was the country’s Number Ten Dog All Breeds, the Bichon, Drummer.  The big win, his 15th of the year, tightens things up a bit in our rankings.

THREE DAYS IN SEDALIA MO

The place to be in the Heartland this weekend was Sedalia MO where the Jefferson City Missouri Kennel Club & the Sedalia Kennel Club teamed up for three shows.  The JCMKC kicked it off Friday with Arlene Czech in the final ring with the Golden Retriever, CH Summits Confetti Thumbs Up, the Saluki, CH Auroras The Song And Dance Man, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Tropix Lemon Twist RN, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shareabs Bayleigh Just The Ticket, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, CH Maddes Eli Fran Aristocrat, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Evergreens Honey Glazed Hamlet, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Kylene Eden The Dragonslayer.

Day one belonged to the Sheltie, Thomas.  Thomas and handler Paul Hannah have been regular visitors to final rings for the last five seasons.  This was their 16th visit to the BIS ring this year and their second big rosette.  Congratulations to Paul, breeders/owners Lenore E Patrick & Kathleen Dziegiel, and owners Karen Hannah & Mary A Bulens.

GCH CH Stringer’s Somethings Gotta Give

Saturday the JCMKC did it again, this time with Dorothy MacDonald in the final ring.  Her line up included Thomas, the aforementioned Golden & Saluki, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Sketchbook Neon Light, the Miniature Schnauzer, Eleanor of Taiwan mentor, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Stringer’s Somethings Gotta Give, and the Chow Chow, CH Cross B Impressive Willie N.

She chose the Yorkie, Jack.  It was the first Toy Group and BIS this year for Jack who finished 2010 with two all breed Bests and ten Toy Group Firsts.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Anna Stringer, and owner Stephanie Barnes.

Raymond Bay closed the set for the SKC with the English Setter, GCH CH Stargazer’s Winfield Wait Wait Don’t Tell, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Wall Street, the Newfoundland, CH Hoeylanes Paddle To Dreamkeeper From Terralain, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Dalriadas Mystic, the Brussels Griffon, CH Endor And Donandrus New Moon, the Keeshond, GCH CH Baronwood Infinity And Beyond and the Sheltie, Thomas.

BIS was the two year old English Setter, his first BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Eileen Hackett, co-breeders P Skol, L Biedron, & K Hanlon, and owners Don & Pat Coller.  We hope to have a photo for you soon.

The Greater DeKalb (IL) Kennel Club gave their hometown fanciers two shows this weekend.  Saturday’s final was judged by Marjorie Tuff who chose her BIS from the Flat-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Flatford's Comic Relief MH, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queen's Armada SL, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambria's Must Be Fate, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Dunham Lake's Scout Master, the Havanese, GCH CH Marcosa's Slip Slidin-Away Of Skyline, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset's Satisfaction, and the Rough Collie, CH Wyndlair Cherokee Vindication.

BIS went to the Collie, Vinnie.  Vinnie becomes the first Rough Collie this year to win an all breed BIS.  Congratulations to owner/handler Renee Beals, breeders Matt Stelter, Anita Stelter, & June Morris, and owners Laura Rizzo, Matt Stelter, and Anita Stelter.

Sunday Norm Kenney saw Vinnie, the above named Dachshund & Doberman, the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Trekkers Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, the Skye Terrier, CH Highlander's Stuart Royalist, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber Moon, and the Tibetan Terrier, CH Barnstorm's Grissom TTCSI. 

He chose the Griff, Lainey.  It’s the third this year for Lainey and handler Suzy Kipp.  All three wins have come in the last two weeks.  This girl is having quite a summer.

NATIONAL CAPITAL KENNEL CLUB

We start our Monday Morning Mop Up with Sunday’s National Capital Kennel Club show in West Friendship MD, the fourth show at that site this week.  Larry Sinclair's final seven were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Gemini Fallchase The Butler Did It, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Foolish Pride, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Rivergroves Coco Mademoiselle, the Sealyham Terrier, GCH CH Efbe’s Goodspice Easy Money, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch. 

It was the Affenpinscher, Joey, picking up his second BIS of the set.  The win brings Joey’s 2011 total to 14 all breed BIS.

The day two 2011 show of the Ann Arbor Kennel Club is in the Record books.  Frank Sabella’s line up today in Monroe MI included the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Majestic’s Keeping the Drama, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Fort Merrill Topsfield Yahoo, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Waybroke Turning Tanner, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Bo-Bett Open Button, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Avion Wouldn’t You Know, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Dalarano Nite Song at Morningstar.

Best went to the Basset, Yahoo.  Yahoo and handler Brian Martin’s 13th Hound Group First resulted in their first BIS of the year.  Congratulations to Brian, breeders Dr Claudia Orlandi & Judy Tuck, and owners Dr Claudia Orlandi, Joan Urban, Claire K Steidel, & Aaron Costilla.

The Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club closed the five day stay in West Springfield MA with Doris Cozart in the final ring.  Her seven final finalists were a Golden Retriever from the Open Dog class, Kelore’s Prince Charming at Golddreams, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Siberian Husky, CH Tackora’s Cookie Cutter, the Welsh Terrier, CH Sarendon It Had To Be You, the Maltese, GCH CH Ta-Jon’s Just Bee-Ing Silly, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Puli, GCCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist and Shout.

BIS went to the Poodle, Sugar Baby.  It’s the third of the year for Sugar Baby & breeder/handler Kaz Hosaka.  They have also logged an enviable 28 Non-sporting Group Firsts along the way.

GENESEE VALLEY KC DAY TWO

Spectators at today’s Genesee Valley Kennel Club day two show were treated to another BIS performance by AKC winningest Beagle ever, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Midnight Confession.

Lola and breeder/owner/handler Marcelo Chagas caught the eye of judge Dr Richard Hilderman.  He might have chosen the Irish Setter, GCH CH Greengate’s The Boss at Beaubriar, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Cypress Bay Don Juan Demarco, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Talydale’s Friend of the Force, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Brookhaven Enchanted Bliss at Almar, a Bulldog from the Open Bitch class, Marybelle’s Olivia de Havilland of Lyerly, or the Border Collie, CH Ownbrooks Magic Wind Dancer, but he didn’t.

The win brings Lola’s career BIS total to 44.

HUNTINGTON KC DAY TWO OF TWO

GCH CH Rubicon’s He‘s So Fine

Our first report in today is from Huntington WV where the Huntington Kennel Club held its day two show.  Carol O’Bryant considered the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Crossroad Crown Royal Miracle RN NJP, the Greyhound, GCH CH Rubicon’s He‘s So Fine, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Saddle Ridge Power of Won, the Key Blue Terrier, CH Alainn Dugan, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Chaoyang’s Take It to the Limit, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.

BIS went to the Greyhound, Duncan.   Congratulations to breeder/owner Pamela Rubinstein, owner Susan Cassem.and handler Jaki Clute on Duncan’s first AKC BIS.

Before we get into today’s show results let’s catch you up on yesterday’s Timberland Valley Dog Fanciers Association show in Centralia WA.  Day one’s final was commanded by Michael Benson who chose his BIS from the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Shade Mountain's Twilight Dancer JH, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Stormhill's Sweet Dreams of Rafica, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Alpenspirit Who's On First, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman, the Pug, Moonstruck's Tangled Up In Blue, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH C-Myste Beledwr Free To Disagree.

He chose the GSP, Dancer.  It’s the first for Dancer.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Brenda L Abraham and owner Robert A Straight.
