BELTON TX DAY TWO

GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

Deep in the heart of Texas at the Stephenville Kennel Club Of Texas’ day two show Friday in Belton you would have found Vicki Abbott’s final with the Golden Retriever, GCH CH My Buddy's Boppity-Bop Blue Moon RN WC VC SDHF, the 15" Beagle, GCH CH Belcanto Flags A'Flyin, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Miniature Pinscher to be named later, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Elite's By Design, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Gentry’s Braveheart.  BIS was AKC’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox, Dodger.  Dodger appears to be like the Energizer Bunny, steadily heading toward the end of the year, holding on tenaciously to the lead.  Would you expect anything less of a Smooth Fox?

PLASANTON CA DAY TWO

GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek

The California canine convention continued Friday with the day two show of the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County in the Diablo Valley town of Pleasanton.  Virginia Lyne gathered the Irish Setter,  GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel. The Boxer, GCH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, day one BIS winner, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek,  the Pomeranian, GCH CH Powerpom High Performance, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Ayran Hong’s Red Passion, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  It was the Smooth Fox Terrier, Adam, with the repeat performance, getting his second BIS in two days.   Adam and Eddie Boyes have been energized by last week‘s big wins on the east coast and are maintaining that energy this week.  Adam and all the other California competitors will pick up the all breed action on Sunday with the huge Del Valle Dog Club Of Livermore .

GCH CH Nakodo’s Reign Of Glory

They jump started their three day week in West Springfield MA with Dr Gareth Morgan-Jones choosing the Best In Show for the Albany Kennel Club.  Lining up for consideration were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Tempo’s U’ve Got What Gets Me, the Borzoi, CH Raynbo’s Run For The Roses, the Akita, GCH CH Nakodo’s Reign Of Glory, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Foxfire’s City Slicker, the Bulldog, GCH CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Puli, Moonshadow Rogyo’s Kis Medve.  BIS went to the Akita, Echo.   It’s the eighth this year for DOG2WATCH Echo and handler Paul Levesque.

DOUGLASVILLE KC OF GA

GCH CH Casablanca‘s Thrilling Seduction

We have partial show results from our other major venue this weekend, Atlanta GA.  The Douglasville Kennel Club  of Georgia opened the all breed competition with Madison Weeks seeing the seven whittled down from 1700 entries.  His choice for BIS was the US’ Number Seven Dog All Breeds, the Black  Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca‘s Thrilling Seduction.  Among the other finalists were the Whippet, CH Bo-Bett's Speed demon, the Boxer, GCH CH Carillon's MVP, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the the Miniature Poodle, CH Campostela The Perfect Storm, and the Briard, CH Diors Copper Mine. Beckham and handler Linda Pitts have garnered 18 all breed BIS this year.  More importantly, they have represented the best of what an AKC show dog should be, always on, always beautifully presented, and always looking like he could do the job he was bred for.

CH Ferlin’s It’s All About Me

We do have shows going on outside of California & Georgia.  Down in Belton TX the Stephenville Kennel Club Of Texas got the ball rolling with Tim Robbins in the final ring with the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Erenvogel It Amazes Me, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, Affenpinscher, CH Ferlin’s It’s All About Me, the Standard Poodle, CH Hanna’s Dam Inge Fair Sun, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Bonnytime’s Keepsake At Isengard.  Best went to the appropriately named Affenpinscher, Houston. It’s the first all breed BIS for Houston who won a BBE Toy Group Three at last year’s AKC/Eukanuba Championship.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Linda Ferris and handler Sharon Boyd.

PLEASANTON CA DAY ONE

GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek,

Some of the country’s best showed up today to kick off the big weekend in Pleasanton CA today.  It’s started with the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County first of two shows.    Day one’s final featured the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Poole‘s Ide‘s Got Water, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Powerpom High Performance, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Suboja’s Army’s Soldier. Charles Trotter’s BIS was the Number Ten Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox, Adam.  The big, big win will likely improve that standing.  We still have three more all breed shows to come in California.  Read all about them here.

ANOTHER CAIRN BIS!

GCH CH Maverston Double Dutch

We finally have results from Monday’s Maryland Kennel Club show in West Friendship MD.  As Cairn Terrier owners we are delighted to tell you that Lydia Coleman Hutchinson’s BIS was the Cairn, GCH CH Maverston Double Dutch.  Joining him in the final were Sunday’s BIS winner, the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, GCH CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Hallam’s Gysai Gabriel SC, the Siberian Husky, CH Indigo’s Synama Wood Imp, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Briard CH Déjà Vu All Over Again.  It was the second BIS for the country’s Number One Cairn.  We hope that there are many more.

MULTI SHOW VENUES FOR ALL

Only one of our ten dog show venues this week will be of the traditional two day variety.  The Lawton Dog Fanciers Association will set up on Saturday & Sunday in their hometown of Lawton OK. 

We have two of the season’s major stops this weekend.  In Atlanta CA the Douglasville Kennel Club Of Georgia, the Atlanta Kennel Club, & the Newnan Kennel Club will draw around 7000 total entries for the their all breed shows in Atlanta GA.  Out in Pleasanton CA, east of San Francisco, the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County & the Del Valle Dog Club Of Livermore will attract closer to 10,000 competitors.  Atlanta will also feature warm up events for Hounds & Terriers while Pleasanton will have 17 specialties preceding the all breed events.

There’s plenty of multiple show venues elsewhere as well.  The Albany Kennel Club and the Troy Kennel Club will team for three in West Springfield MA beginning Friday, ditto for the Gloucester County Kennel Club & South Jersey Kennel Club in Buena NJ, and the Laurel Highlands Kennel Association & Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club in Cumberland MD.  You get four, Friday to Monday,  in Springfield IL courtesy of the Mattoon Kennel Club, the Sandemac Kennel Club, & the Illinois Capitol Kennel Club.

For once, the Great Plains States will see plenty of doggy action.  There’s four starting Friday in Rapid City SD hosted by the hometown Rapid City Kennel Club.  The Platte Valley Kennel Club Of Fremont, Nebraska & the Cornhusker Kennel Club Of Lincoln, Nebraska will start their four in Lincoln NE on Thursday.  Don’t forget the two aforementioned shows in Lawton OK,  Finally there’s four in Belton TX starting Thursday  brought to you by the Stephenville Kennel Club Of Texas and the Bell County Kennel Club.

This weekend is a great time to see some of the finest dogs anywhere.  Get out to an AKC dog show this weekend.

STCA NATIONAL SPECIALTY

CH Alpines Highwayman

While we wait for results for yesterday’s Ramapo Kennel Club show, Let’s tell you about a National Specialty.  Almost 250 American Staffordshire Terriers were gathered in Hutto TX this past week for the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America 2010 National Specialty.  Sandra Goose Allen’s BISS was CH Alpines Highwayman, bred, owned, & handled by Ed Thomason.  BOS was 2010 Montgomery County Kennel Club BIS, GCH CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You.  We are pleased to say that both BISS, “Jelly” and BOS, “Maddy”, are two of our DOGS2WATCH.  In addition to the BISS, Jelly ahs accumulated nine Terrier Group firsts and two all breed BIS.  Congratulations to Ed, breeders Karen Thomason, D Nechemias & L Claus, owners Zane Smith & Karen Thomason, and all the other winners.

We still have not told you about this weekend in Del Mar CA and the Cabrillo Kennel Club‘s two shows.   We will remind you that we told you that Angela Porpora’s BIS on Saturday was the Wirehaired Dachshund,  GCH CH Verdon’s devil In Disguise MW.  We didn’t tell you that the Pointer, CH Creeksyde’s Witches Promise, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Sevenly Above The Law, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Darwyn’s I’m Not Arguing That, the Chinese Crested, Kamikazi’s Tokyo Cowboy, the Dalmatian, CH Castle’s Go Speed Racer, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Bon Idee’s Garden Party.

On Sunday Dr Anthony DiNardo saw the same Welsh & Chinese Crested, the Irish Water Spaniel, CH Poole’s Ide Bonnie Brook, the Ibizan Hound, GCH CH Harehill’s Ace In The Hole, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Six Pence, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Lebull’s New Hope Wooly Bully, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Segni At Coventry.    His BIS was the Corgi, Molly.  It’s the sixth this year for Molly.

RAMAPO KC DAY TWO

The big New Jersey weekend ended today with Houston Clark choosing a first timer for BIS.  His choice was the Pug,  GCH CH Caper's Sirius Endeavor.  Rounding out the final was the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Gayleward’s Jaraluv Nike, the Akita, GCH CH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, Yesterday’s BIS winner, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Cracknor Cross The T’s. the Miniature Poodle, CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

Rufus, the Pug, was the 2010 Westminster Kennel Club breed winner and the BISS at the 2009 National specialty of Pug Dog Club of America.  Congratulations to breeder/owners Phil Fisher and Carole Fisher.

MASON CITY KENNEL CLUB

We now have the results from Mason City IA where the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber Moon, posted back2back BIS this weekend, taking the top prizes at both of  the hometown Mason City Kennel Club’s two shows.  Joining Lainey on Saturday in Jerry Watson’s final were the Golden Retriever, Summits Emery It’s In The Bag, the Bloodhound, CH Quiet Creek’s Windfall, the Great Pyrenees, CH Rivergrove’s Dom Perignon CDX, the Parson Russell Terrier, GCH CH Thuner Hill Soul Journey, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Paisley Nspird By Broadway, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Barkshire’s Jim Dandy.

On Sunday Lainey was the sole Saturday finalist to make it to Jane Forsyth’s BIS ring.  Her new finalists were the Weimaraner, CH  Bowbent Carousel’s Perfect World, the Whippet, CH Kamada’s Happy Hour, the Bocert, CH Marburl’s Chisum, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Tomar’s Captain Morgan, the Lowchen, Laser Kui No Way No How, and the Belgian Sheepdog, GCH CH Chargany’s Voyageur.  The weeknd brings to four the number of BIS for 15 month old Lainey.

Those who think California is all LA trendy and  San Francisco sophistication have never been to Yuba City, which is just about as middle America as it gets, Walmart & JC Penney’s.  This weekend, the Two Cities Kennel Club hosted two all breed shows.  We did tell you about Saturday’s activities.  Sunday’s line up featured the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, CH Javahill Steal My Heart RA JH, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader Donald Duck, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Aviator’s Luck Be A Lady, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Warfox High Mtn Rocky Mountain High, the Silky Terrier, GCH CH Snow Glen’s Tesoro Cover Story, the Bulldog, GCH CH Globe And Anchor Sgt Iron Mike, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay Cirque du Soleil.  Dany Canino chose the Sheltie, Cirque, as her BIS.  Cirque and breeder/owner/handler Tray Pittman have eight BIS this year, four in the last thirty days.   That leave us breathless.

Our next stop is Primm NV, just south of Las Vegas.  We did tell you that the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Markann-N-Kk's Charlotte's Winning Web was Debbie Campbell’s BIS at Saturday’s Black Mountain Kennel Club Of Nevada.  We now know that the Cocker, Charlotte, was joined in the final by the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Bucking The Trind, the Boxer, GCH CH R And G's Mystical Dancer, the Border Terrier, Sungate's Pandemonium, the Pekingese, GCH CH Dunkirk Copyright, the Shiba Inu, GCH CH  Jogoso's Fool For Love, and the Bouvier des Flandres. GCH CH Donlee Man O'War.

Sunday, Paula Nykiel saw Charlotte, the above named Basenji & Boxer, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Bayleigh Shaireab's Super Hero, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Xerlane's Eye Of The Storm, the Bulldog, GCH CH Stellars Usual Suspect, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Asgard Harley Davidson V Plamark PT.  She chose the Boxer, Danny.  It’s the fourth BIS for Danny this year and his second this month.

 CH Scentasia’s Double Trouble

In New Mexico the place to be this week was Los Lunas, 25 miles south of Albuquerque, where the New Mexico Toy Group Club & the Valencia Valley Kennel Club of New Mexico each gave us .two shows.  The VVKCNM took over on Saturday and asked Gloria Kerr to do the day one final.  She had her pick of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Autumn’s Stardust And Roses, the Otterhound, CH Scentasia’s Double Trouble, the Rottweiler, CH Steinplatz Just Incredible, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Whistler At Amberly, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Turyanne Always Love Miracle, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Highwood’s Big Shot, and the German Shepherd Dog’s, GCH CH Enchanted’s American Thunder.  BIS went to the country’s Number One Otterhound, Emma, her first all breed BIS.  We can’t tell you how delighted we are to see an Otterhound in the BIS reports.  Emma has been knocking on the door for a while.  Congratulations to breeders Ann L Hawley, E Conway, D Emery, & M Hawley, owners Sherri K Malone & Mike Couch, and handler Michael Brantley.  Our thanks to Team Emma for keeping this charming breed before the public eye.

GCH CH Enchanted’s American Thunder

On Sunday Clay Coady would see the same GSP, Frenchie, & GSD, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Dehra’s Amazona Bvlgari, the Rottweiler, Nighthawk’s Kiss And Tell The World, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Trigo’s Relantago, and the Pomeranian, GCH CH Horizon’s A Fly On The Wall.  BIS went to the GSD, Stormy.  Stormy has been kicking up dust all over the country in the last 90 days and handler Clint Livingston now have accumulated five all breed BIS this year.  We think that Storm is a DOG2WATCH.

TYLER TEXAS KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Northgate's As You Like It

Texas dog lovers were in Canton TX, 60 miles east of Dallas, for this weekend’s Tyler Texas Kennel Club’s two shows.  On Saturday Charles Olvis had the pleasure of the company of the Vizsla, GCH CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate's As You Like It, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall's I Dream Of Style, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Maltese, GCH CH Rhapsody's Regarding Henry, Standard Poodle, GCH CH  Hanna's Dan Inge Fair Sun, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Paradigm's Baylandon Broadway.  His BIS was the Swedish Import, the Pharaoh Hound, Qing.  Qing, the top winning Pharaoh in AKC history, now has 12 BIS on this side of the Atlantic.

Sunday ended with the same Vizsla, Boxer, Border, & Maltese, in the final with judge Judy Webb.  Rounding out the ring were the Saluki, DC Shahtani Ivory Moon SC, the Chow Chow, GCH CH  Northwind's Il Divo, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Heart Of Gold Power Play.  Best was the Border, Hazel.  Hazel has five BIS this year, more than any other Border Terrier.

MARYLAND KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

GCH CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion

Many of our top dogs are in West Friendship MD this weekend for the four days of shows with the Catonsville Kennel Club & Maryland Kennel Club.  Yesterday’s BIS was in the hands of Robert McKowen.  His seven options were the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, GCH CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Celestial CJ’s Hearts On Fire, the Rottweiler, GCH CH D’Oro Solido’s Feliciano Uno, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Bluberry‘s Surely you Jest, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Wise Choice Geliato.  His choice was the WPG, Buster.  It was the ninth BIS for this scruffy beauty, the Number Four Sporting Dog in the US.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Elaine Huinsicker, owner Joan Coughlin, and handler Michelle Scott.

We hadn’t heard anything over the weekend from Enid OK where the Sooner state Kennel Club hosted a pair of shows.  Saturday finished up with Roger Hartinger gathering the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Broken Ridges Wild At Heart, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, CH Tangaer Quelque Choses, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Shalimars Golden Ticket, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH True Grip One Singular Sensation, the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Lionhearts Ez Betts On Texas Hold'em, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Heidelberg’s Oklahoma Natashac.  Best went to the four year old GSD bitch, again a first time winner.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Dean Heckathorn and co-owner Mary Ann Morey.

Sunday it was Paula Hartinger’s turn to choose the BIS. She saw the same Cocker, Schnauzer, & GSD, the Afghan Hound, Afghan Hound, CH Har Lous Gorgeous Jorge, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscots Poker Chip, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Escadas Fiery One RN, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia.  Her Best In Show was the Shar-Pei, Magnum.  The 2010 Westminster Kennel Club breed winner now has two BIS this year.  Congratulations to breeders Lisa Lee Myers & Linda Cosier, owners Bonnie Berney & Helga Kamp, and handler David Williams

In the southeast fanciers have been gathered in the northern Florida town of Lake City for two days with the Suwannee Valley Kennel Club Of Florida.  They ended the weekend with Molly Martin’s final of the Pointer, CH Solivia's A Walk In The Clouds, the American Foxhound, CH Kelly Mt American Idol, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle's My Gigolo, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Prada Classic Aran Isle At Donnellas, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Miniature Poodle, CH Campostela The Perfect Storm, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside In The Dark Zone.   Best went to the handsome Rott, Gigolo.   Gigolo is also a first time BIS winner.  You can bet it won’t be the last for this three year old.  Congratulations to breeders Yvette Jacobs & Suzan Otto and owners Giuseppe Renzulli & Wilmay Renzulli.

Fanciers in the northeast are enjoying the fall colors in Augusta NJ for four days while competing at the Palisades Kennel Club & Ramapo Kennel Club shows.  Yesterday was day one for the RKC and they capped the day with Virginia Lyne and the super seven of the winner of both of the PKC’s two shows, the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH Mahogany's Mi Own Sweet Time, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Cracknor Cross The T's, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, CH Longleat Black No Sugar, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins. 

Best In Show went to the Norfolk, Plum.  We have been expecting this one for a while.  It’s the first all breed BIS for the grandaughter of  2005 Crufts winner, CH Cracknor Cause Celebre.  Congratulations to breeder M H E Matell, owners Pamela Beale, Elisabeth Matell, & Beth Sweigart, and handler Roxanne Sutton.

BOISE ID FINAL DAY

The Lizard Butte Kennel Club finished the four day stay in Boise ID with Col Harold Brizee choosing the Best In Show.  He had the dynamite line up of the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field‘s Bahama Sands, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Tamarin Top Banana, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Borderfame Signature.  BIS went to the Country’s Number Eight Dog All Breeds, the GWP, Scout.   Scout & handler Frank Murphy have collected 23 BIS this season.

HANOVER KC DAY TWO

The Hanover Kennel Club finished day two in Wilmington NC with Vincent Chianese pondering choosing the Parti-color Cocker Spaniel, CH Dalin’s This Is It, the Borzoi, GCH CH Majenkir King’s Ransom,  the Rottweiler, CH Loral‘s National Treasure, the Airedale, GCH CH Gulf-Aire Rolling Thunder, the Toy Manchester Terrier, GCH CH Burmack’s Rosie V Evrmor, a Keeshond from the Bred BY Exhibitor class, Nikkee’s Ashbook Conquers All, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Margaux’s In Command.  He chose the Toy Manchester, Rosie.   It was the first BIS this year for the nation’s Number One Toy Manchester Terrier.  Congratulations to breeders Maxine Fox & Janna Morgan, owners James G Burrows Jr & Patrick R Mackesey, and handler Aaron Wilkerson.

MAD RIVER VALLEY KC DAY TWO

GCH CH Cammcastle’s Friar Tuck

We have results in for the Mad River Valley Kennel Club’s closer today in Urbana OH.  Susan St John Brown’s choice for BIS was the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle’s Friar Tuck.  She might have chosen the Irish Setter, GCH CH Courtwood Always Bailey, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Soletrader Bjorn Borg, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Sugarbush American Girl, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Royalist Ready To Reign, the Tibetan Terrier, Ri Lee’s Stellar Performance, or the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, GCH CH Swan Crest Windy City Robert Henry, but she didn’t.  It’s the 14th BIS this season for Tux, who now has the Number Two Working Dog spot in his sights.

We have a few Saturday BIS reports to get to before we start reporting today’s results.   From Mason City IA, we hear that the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber Moon, was Jerry Watson’s pick for BIS at the day one show of the hometown Mason City Kennel Club.  We should all have family trees like the Griff, Lainey.  Her father was the Number One Brussels Griffon of all time, the inimitable, CH Cilleine Masquerade, and her mother is the Number One Brussels Griffon Bitch of all time, CH Knolland Miss Suzy.  This was 15 month old Lainey’s second all breed Best.

The Black Mountain Kennel Club of Nevada is set up for two days in Primm NV south of Las Vegas.  On day one Debbie Campbell chose the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Markann-N-Kk's Charlotte's Winning Web, for the Best In Show.  It’s the first BIS this year for Charlotte.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Dr K Ann Jeglum & Karen Kohlmeyer, co-breeders Gloria Riegel & Joel Riegel, and handler Tracy Lynn Carroll.

Down in sunny southern California, the Cabrillo Kennel Club is in the lovely costal town of Del Mar for the weekend.   Angela Porpora’s BIS on Saturday was the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Verdon's Devil In Disguise MW.  It’s the first Best for the five year old this year.  Congratulations to breeders Starr Henderson & Cynthia Kennard, and owners Sherry Snyder & Starr Henderson.
