GCH CH The Echo Hills Kennel Club Of Ohio is in Troy OH today for their first of two shows.  Marilyn Spacht had the day one final and her pick of the Vizsla, GCH CH Grouse Point Semper Fi Pretty in Pink, the Longhair Dachshund, GCH CH Gemdach Don’t Blame Me, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Black Hawk Finnegan’s Wake, the Sky Terrier, GCH CH Jay-Roy Byren’n Hot for You, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Bret D N Engine Co To The Rescue, and the Pyrenean Shepherd, GCH CH La Brise Sun Bear.

Best went to the Dal, Tilley, and Reserve to the Standard Schnauzer, Finn.  It’s the first BIS for Tilley.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Joanne Shupp, co-breeder Michelle Jarus, and owners  John & Elaine Bachey & Marie Zink & Joanne Shupp, and handler Phil Booth.

GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

The Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association chose June Penta to handle their day one final in Waynesville NC.  The seven she chose from where the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Birchwood's Tropical Night Fever CGC RA, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Snowmist's Quidditch Seeker, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Delzar Sweet Sensation, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Bulldog, CH Imperious Hamitup Southern Belle, and the Briard, GCH CH Majestique Brave Heart.

She would choose the Foxhound, Jewel, as her Best and the Springer, Scarlett, as her Reserve.  Jewell is the Number One Hound and the Number Five Dog All breeds with 16 BIS this year.

GREATER TRAVERSE KC DAY ONE

Our next report comes in from Traverse City MI and the Grand Traverse Kennel Club.  Lawrence Stanbridge had the opening final and his pick of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery It’s In The Bag, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline's Oxford Victim Of Love, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Pants on Fire, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Trio’s Big Shot, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Diva’s Bastille Heart, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Stonepillar’s Steel Blu.

The BIS went to the Doberman, Fifi.  The Yorkie, Billy, picked up the RBIS.  Fifi was 2012’s Number Three Dog All Breeds, but has kept a more leisurely pace this year.  She still has an impressive 2013 record with nine BIS and 26 Working Groups.

The North Shore Kennel Club opened the three day set in Topsfield MA today.  Peggy Dillard Carr’s seven supplicants were the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, GCH CH Chesastar Hudson Bay RN, the Borzoi, GCH CH Greyhaven This Rough Magic SC, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Maltese, CH Ta-Jon’s Hi Diddle Dee Dee, the Keeshond, GCH CH Nightwind’s Little Ricky, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Mishaook Lulu At Chateau Blanc HSCs.

Best went to the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Portie, Matisse.  Reserve was awarded to the Keeshond, Ricky.  Matisse and handler Michael Scott are on a winning streak with 11 BIS in a row.  They now have 33 BIS this year, four more than the Number One Dog.

RUSSELL TERRIER WINS IN ILLINOIS

Annemarie Moore was in Grayslake IL today to choose a Best In Show and Reserve for the Little Fort Kennel Club Of Waukegan.  The weekend is Terrier heavy in anticipation of tomorrow’s Great Lakes All Terrier Association limited breed show.  The set will conclude on Sunday with a second all breed show hosted by the LFKCW.

She chose her top two from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Easthill Broxden Woodland Turnip the Volume, the Whippet, GCH CH Kamada’s New York Minute, the Doberman Pinscher, Vondura Xcelerator Bel Amie, the Russell Terrier, GCH H Goldsands Columbus, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Woodstock Bell Starr.

Getting the Terriers off to a good start was the Russell, Bosse, who took the BIS.  The Bichon, Honor, snapped up the RBIS.  Bosse is the only Russell to win a BIS since the breeds recognition last year.  Today’s win is his 11th of 2013 and his 17th overall.  Our thanks to Joan Weiskopf for providing this report.  Joan and her Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Peremi I’m a Player, will be competing tomorrow and Sunday.
