BACK2BACK BIS EVERYWHERE

GCH CH Mt View Ripsnorter Silver Charm

Once the Number Two Dog left Midland MI for Fisherville VA, another of our Top Five stepped in to dominate the scene.  The German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View Ripsnorter Silver Charm, picked up both of the BIS at the Mount Pleasant Michigan Kennel Club’s two shows on Saturday and Sunday.

GCH CH dal Primo Magic Moment

At the day one show Denny Mounce gave the GWP, Oakley, the Best In Show, and the Bullmastiff, GCH CH dal Primo Magic Moment, the Reserve.  Joining them in the quest were the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Inacahoots Howlin’ Tornado, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Broxden Waybroke Halstan Heritage, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Char's Hotter than Hot, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker  Topsy Turvey.

At Sunday’s closer Jane Forsyth liked Oakley and the same Puli, Charlotte, as her top two, leaving the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Raquel Welch Of Malabo APD, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Snowmist's Quicksilver Speigas, the returning Smooth Fox, Roy, the previously seen Pom, Hollister, and the now familiar Standard Poodle, Flame, hoping for another day.  The two wins give Oakley 98 career BIS, 18 of which have come this year.

CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie

It wasn’t just our Top Ten Dogs posting multiple BIS this week.  Down in West Palm Beach FL the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie, was adding two more BIS to his resume at the Boca Raton Dog Club’s two shows.  The first came under Ron Menaker.  We suppose judge Menaker, might have chosen the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Meadow At Lakeridge, whom he gave the RBIS, the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, the 13” Beagle, GCH C H Encore Rerun of Roirdan, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Ivoss Here Comes The Son, the Papillon, GCH CH Wildfire On The Edge, or the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Sunburst One Cool Dude, but he didn’t.

GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare

Sunday Charlie impressed judge Jeffrey Pepper more than did his Reserve winner, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, who impressed more than the Flat-Coated Retriever, CH StormWatch Thunderclapp Tegan, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Rememberence, the Doberman Pinscher, Shamrock's Fast Eddie D, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotted Bliss Oreo Delight, and a different Shetland Sheepdog, CH Lakehills Counting On Dreams.

Charlie and handler Larry Cornelius have five BIS in 2013, all in the last three weeks.  Charlie hasn’t shown up on the AKC’s Top 100 Dogs All Breeds list yet.  We suspect he joined that group a couple of weeks back.  We do know this, it’s time to make this one a DOG2WATCH.

GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil

One Dog that is in our Top 100 is the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil.  In fact she started the week as the Number 15 Dog.  Over the weekend, Scout joined the back2back BIS club with two top prizes at the McKinley Kennel Club shows in Canton OH.

GCH CH Camio's Educated Exemplar

She started it off with James Frederickson, who also considered the Golden Retriever, CH Shyan's Let Freedom Ring, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess, his Reserve winner, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Camio's Educated Exemplar, the Havanese, CH Qbin's Strictly Confidential At Enginuity, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s deck the halls, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Double R'S Alberta Clipper CGC.

Scout collected her second BIS from Barbara Dempsey Alderman who named the Smooth Collie, GCH CH C And J Silver Charm Of Chrysalis, as her RBIS.  Also pleading their case were the Pointer, GCH CH Oncore Mykyna Storm, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Gemdach Don't Blame Me, the same Norwich, the Pug, GCH CH Hill Country Tag I’m It, and the previously mentioned Shar-Pei, Tinsel.  Notwithstanding that the two wins were worth less than 1000 points, they still should be good enough to move Scout up at least two places.
