FIRST TIMER IN TOPEKA

We have one more report for you tonight.  The Jesse James Kennel Club is in Topeka KS for a double header.  Day one featured Charles Trotter in the final ring with the Golden Retriever, CH Amica’s Journey Nothing Comes Close SDHF, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Standard Schnauzer, Shalimar’s Golden Ticket, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Thunder Hill Soul Journey, the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist, the Chow Chow, CH Cross B Impressive Willie N, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Copperridges‘s Fire N Bayouland.  His Best In Show was the Golden, Bliss.  it’s the first BIS for the two year old.  We expect to see many more.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Mia T Nieman and co-breeder Debby Gower. 

LOTS OF FIRSTS IN RENO

It’s hard to find a more fun spot for a dog show than Reno NV and we’re sure that at least seven dogs and their handlers would agree.  Gay Dunlap’s seven finalists at today’s Reno Kennel Club show were the English Setter, GCH CH Cobblestone Summer Sunshine JH, the Irish Wolfhound, GCH CH Mysham Edoc‘Sil Of Redwall, the Boxer, CH R And G's Mystical Dancer, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Angranian Derry Mucker, the Chinese Crested, CH Kamikazi’s Hot Saki, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH PaRay‘s Rime Time, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Mariel‘s Harvest Moon. Her BIS was the Staffy Bull, Bob.  It was the first BIS for Bob, the first for a Black Brindle Staffy Bull and the first BIS for handler Adrienne Hill.  Congratulations to Adrienne, breeders K McEldowney & M Donaghy, and owners Zane Smith & Shannon Smith.

BIG SMOOTH FOX WIN

GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek

The big numbers were in Enumclaw WA where the Olympic Kennel Club drew more than 2500 dogs.  Jane Roppolo’s seven survivors were the Golden Retriever,  GCH CH Rush Hill's River Road Payoff, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Soletrader’s Donald Duck, the Samoyed, CH Glacier's N Rowdy's Czargent Trouble, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  Walking away with all those points and the BIS was the Smooth Fox, Adam.  Adam and handler Eddie Boyes have been hanging on, Terrier tenaciously, to the Number Ten Dog All Breeds spot.  We think that this win might even move them up in the rankings.

HAT TRICK IN INDIANA

GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout

We don’t think of Muncie IN as hockey country, but it didn’t keep the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, from scoring the hat trick.  Scout and handler Frank Murphy picked up their third straight BIS, winning today's Muncie Kennel Club’s day two show.  Rounding out Chris Walkowicz's final were the Basenji, CH Meisterhaus Dazzle 'N' Daze, the Great Pyrenees, CH Beren's Hope Of Thorn Hill, the West Highland White Terrier, Pandqyck's Pistol Packin' Mama, the Pomeranian, CH Her Majestyy's Crown Jewel, the Bichon Frise, Belle Creek's No Doubt About It, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.    We now have a virtual tie for the Number Seven Dog All Breeds.  We will tell you who it is when we get rest of this weekend's numbers.

GREELEY KC RESULTS

Greeley CO was one of two western sites with more than 2200 dogs today.  The Greeley Kennel Club asked Bradley Jenkins to do BIS on day one and he had his choice of the Golden Retriever, CH My Buddys Boppity-Bop Blue Moon RN, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Great Pyrenees, CH Pyrpressure L'Orgueil, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Dalriada's Mystic, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody's Regarding Henry, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje's Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Shetland Sheepdog, Belmark Echo Hill's Standing Ovation.  BIS went to our DOG2WATCH, the Wire Fox, Boo.  It was Boo’s seventh BIS this year and the first with handler Christian Rangel.  Congratulations to Christian, breeder/owner Cara Campbell DVM, and owners Mike Doleski, Cecilia Ruggles & Beth Dowd.

Sari Brewster Tietjen was in Marshfield WI for today’s Marshfield Area Kennel Club show.  Her final seven were the Golden Retriever, CH Summits Emry It‘s In The Bag, yesterday’s BIS winner, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Newfoundland, CH Windhavens Here’s The Story, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Max-Well’s Violet, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Ri Lee‘s Stellar Performance, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Gentry’s Braveheart.   Ms Tietjen, a second generation Toy Dog enthusiast, chose the Toy Spaniel, Bouncer, as her BIS.  She had previously chosen Bouncer her BISS at the English Toy Spaniel Club of America’s National Specialty back in May.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Bruce Van Deman and handler Per Rismyrh.

JUST LIKE YESTERDAY

GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

Dr Alvin Krause had BIS duty on day four in Greensboro NC.  The final seven at today’s Carolina Kennel Club included five of our top seven dogs, just like yesterday.  His seven were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Greyhound, CH Gaia‘s Elfin Dance, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Rough Collie, Wyndeswept It‘s A Rough Life.  Just like yesterday, today’s BIS was our Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox, Dodger.  Dodger and owner/handler Amy Booth have now opened a better than 4,000 point lead on the field.   However, our top five dogs are all averaging more than 4,000 dogs defeated a month and there’s more than four months left in the year.  Do the math.

ANOTHER BIS FOR THE RECORD HOLDER

AKC’s winningest Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins, added to his BIS record picking up career number 37 at today’s Wachusett Kennel Club show in Fitchburg MA.   Judith Goodin’s final also included the English cocker Spaniel, CH Kabree Ragtime Expresso, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Brodny Schoolhouse In A Zip, the Akita, GCH CH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Maltese, CH Ta-Jon’s Just Bee-ing Silly, and the Tibetan Terrier, CH Atisha’s VSOP Courvoisier.   Thus far this weekend we have had BIS wins by six of our top ten and we still have lots of shows to go.

AN UNBEATABLE RECORD

GCH CH Bruno Della Vecchia Roma

We have seen a lot of records fall these past few weeks.  Today we have a brand new record that, will never be equaled.  The Neapolitan Mastiff, GCH CH Bruno Della Vecchia Roma, has become the first of his breed to win an AKC all breed Best In Show.  It happened today at the St Clairsville Ohio Kennel Club show in St Clairsville OH.  On hand in Dr Ronald Spritzer’s final to witness the event were the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Nonnies Déjà Vu, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Tiara Ne-Kabu Abu Simbel Ankh, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Overnight  Celebrity, a Pomeranian from the BBE class, Expression It Is What It Is , the Standard Poodle, CH Hillwood Ale Kai Walking On Air, and the Puli, CH Catsun Corinth.  Bruno is the Number One Neapolitan in the US and was the Breed Winner at the 2010 Westminster Kennel Club show and the 2009 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship National Championship.  Congratulations to breeder Thierry Jenny Paratore, owners Janice E Wolf DVM & Judd & Pam Atchley, and handler Anthony Gurrola.

ONE MORE BEFORE WE GO

We just noticed that we have one more show report for you tonight.  James Reynolds was in Marshfield WI for today’s Wisconsin Rapids Kennel Club.  His special seven were the Golden Retriever, CH Shiloh’s Inn Cognito, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastles Friar Tuck, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Max-Well’s Violet, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Standard Poodle, Luminary Maryland October Renaissance, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Gentry’s Braveheart.  BIS went to one of dogdom’s most watchable couples the Beagle, Lola, and breeder/owner/handler Marcelo Chagas.    Marcelo & Lola now have 26 all breed BIS and are in sight of the Breed record of 33.

The Number Eight Dog All Breeds, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout,  is making the most of his visit to Muncie IN picking up his second BIS in two days.  This one came at today’s Anderson Kennel Club with Carolyn B McKenna calling the final and the Whippet, CH Karasar's Par Excellence, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Liebenhund's Who's Your Daddy, the Border Terrier, CH Tyrolian Eight Belles At Meadowlake, the Pug, GCH CH Kenshei And That's The Way It Is, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset's Satisfaction, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Brandywine's Indelible Moment, watching.  That’s career BIS number 34, 15 this year.

After spending two days at the Top Seven Showdown in Greensboro NC,  the US’ Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, was in Owego NY picking up the BIS at today’s Susque-Nango Kennel Club show.  Sharing the moment in Catherine Bell’s final were the 15” Beagle, CH Lamgrigg Star Of The Stage, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirit Just In Time, the Norwich Terrier, CH Yarrow Venerie Starlite Express, the Brussels Griffon, CH Jo-Li I’m A Tease, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Slaishan’s My Special Angel, and the Bearded Collie, GCH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.    Emily and handler Adam Bernardin are closer to home and now have 27 BIS this year.

Two of our top seven skipped today’s Greater Hickory Kennel Club show in Greensboro NC.   The other five were all in Arley D. Hussin’s final seven, the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Whippet, CH Abelaim Masquerade SC, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Mysharas Dream Girl.  Today’s BIS was the Nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox, Dodger.  At just three years of age, Dodger now has 74 career BIS and a 4,000 point lead on the rest of the field.

NUMBER EIGHT IS BIS IN MUNCIE IN

While the nation’s top seven dogs were in Greensboro NC, the country’s Number Eight Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, was In Muncie IN collecting his 33rd career BIS.   Also in the Muncie Kennel Club’s final with David Alexander  were the Longhaired Dachshund GCH CH Xeralane'e Supersonic, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Protocol's Sic Itur Ad Astra, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Tyrolian Eight Belles At Meadowlake, the Toy Poodle, Lorwin Only In America, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset's Satisfaction, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder. With three more chances at another BIS, Scout and handler Frank Murphy may very well move up in the rankings.  The excitement returns to Muncie tomorrow with the Anderson Kennel Club and will continue through Sunday with one more show from each club.

DAY TWO IN GREENSBORO NC

The competition at the day two show of the Danville Kennel Club was just as fierce as day one.  Once again our top seven dogs had mixed results.  Charles Olvis’ super seven were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Genesis Silverado (the Number 17 Dog All Breeds), the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Xtacee Dancin In The Moonlight.  Yesterday’s BIS winner, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel finished with a Hound Group Two while the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee’s Caught Red Handed, finished with a BOB.

Today’s Best In Show was the Peke, Malachy.  Malachy and owner/handler David Fitzpatrick, have accumulated 34 BIS this year.  Only one dog in the US has more.

TOP SEVEN SMACKDOWN IN NC

The top seven dogs in the US were all in Greensboro NC for today’s Danville Kennel Club show and five of them made it to Debra Thorton’s BIS ring.  Her final seven were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca‘s Thrilling Seduction, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Keeshond, CH Karolina Bonnyvale Meant To Be, and the Briard, CH Majestique Braveheart.   The Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, finished the first day with a Sporting Group Three and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, left a very tough Non-Sporting Group without a ribbon. 

The winner of today’s Top Seven Smackdown was the nation’s Number Seven Dog All Breeds, the Whippet, Chanel.  Cha Cha and handler Lori Wilson take home career BIS number 22 after what has to be one of their toughest line ups.  The fun continues with the DKC tomorrow on day two of five in Greensboro.

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Owego (not Oswego) NY

The Dog Days of Summer continue tomorrow in Greensboro NC where the Danville Kennel Club will kick off a five day set.  The DKC holds sway for the first two days after which the Greater Hickory Kennel Club will do one followed by the Carolina Kennel Club with two more.   The Muncie Kennel Club and Anderson Kennel Club will combine for four in Muncie IN starting Thursday.  Expect big names and big numbers at both sites. 

Starting Friday you can get three shows in the upstate village of Owego NY.  That’s Owego on the Susquehanna River, not to be confused with Oswego NY which is on Lake Erie.  The Susque-Nango Kennel Club and Tioga County Kennel Club will help you keep your geography straight.  The Wisconsin Rapids Kennel Club and Marshfield Area Kennel Club will also give you three starting Friday in Marshfield WI.

The rest of our all breed offerings are of the two day, Saturday/Sunday variety.  Try St Clairsville OH with the hometown St Clairsville Ohio Kennel Club, Topeka KS with the Jesse James Kennel Club, Greeley CO with the Greeley KC, Reno NV with the Reno KC, or Enumclaw WA with the Olympic KC.  If you are hankering for paradise, hop over to Ewa HI for the two days with the West Oahu KC.

Wisconsin fanciers wound up their four day set yesterday.  We gave you the report on the two days in South Milwaukee.  Here’s the skinny on Sunday and Monday in Racine.  Day one with the Greater Racine Kennel Club saw Karen Wilson in the final with the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the Afghan Hound, CH Suliman Incendio, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Baystar Get Smart, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH McFox’s Stella Luna, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Standard Poodle, CH Vetset Kate Winsit, and the Briard, CH La Vie Rose Dior August Moon CD RN.  Her Best was the Doberman, Maxwell.  It was the first for Maxwell and one of our great young handlers, Dylan Kipp.  Congratulations to owner/handler Dylan and breeders/owners Ed & Lynda Palsat.

Monday, Only Maxwell and the Standard Poodle would return to see Dr Anthony Dinardo.  His new five were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wil-Orion’s Twenty Twenty, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Tyrolian Twelve Belles At Meadowlake, the Long Coat Chihuahua, CH Ouachitah All That Glitters, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Barkshire’s Jim Dandy.  BIS went to the four year old Chihuahua bitch.  It’s her first BIS this year.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Linda George.

It must have been a surprise even for the seasoned Pomeranian maven Noble Inglett, winning two BIS in the first two outings with his new charge,  the Pomeranian, CH CR Simply Irresistible.  It happened in Torrance Ca at the two shows hosted by the South Bay Kennel Club,  We did give you a complete report on Saturday’s show.  Sunday Noble & Palmer were joined in George Marquis' final by the Irish Setter, CH Greengate Buzz Lightyear, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Fishbay’s Faith Hope And Love, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH O’Mara’s High Noon, the Miniature Poodle, Danford Debutante., and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Westfall’s Kyle’s Mica Of Paris.  We’d call that a coming out party.

BRAVING THE HEAT

We have been enduring record hot weather here in the Mid South.  Spectators at yesterday’s Arkansas Kennel Club show in Little Rock survived 100 plus temperatures to see Bradley Jenkins call the BIS.  His brave seven were the Golden Retriever, CH My Buddy's Boppity-Bop Blue Moon RN, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Boxer GCH CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, Saturday’s BIS winner, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragmoor Buddy Goodman, the Pekingese, GCH CH Franshaw’s Hear Me Roar, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Elite's By Design, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables Ya Drives Me Krayz HIC.  His BIS was the Peke, Noel.  Noel and Pekingese specialist Hiram Stewart have been one of the most consistent pair in the Toy Group, winning 17 BIS and 45 Group Ones this year.

SUNDAY IN MINNESOTA

The Kennel Club of Freeborn County Minnesota gave us two shows this weekend and we gave you the results of one.  Here’s Sunday’s.  Jean Fournier had her choice of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, CH Littleriver's Brynwood Celtie, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Dehra Amazona Bvlgari, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J'Cobe Broxden The Headliner, the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje's Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Briard, CH Dior’s Copper Mine.  Her BIS was the country’s Number One Kuvasz, Tanner.  Tanner now has two all breed Bests this year.

We have four days in Wisconsin this week.  It started in South Milwaukee on Friday with Steven Gladstone calling the final at the Cudahy Kennel Club,  His options were the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Honey Runn’s Spittin Image MH CD, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, the Mastiff, CH Goldleafs Sherman Tank, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Abbedale Take Two At Taliesin, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Standard Poodle, GCH Ch Kaylen’s In A Perfect World, and the Smooth Collie, CH Diamante’s Five Alarm Fire.  BIS went to the four year old GSP.  Congratulations to breeder Cynthia Stahle and owner Adam DeLude.

Saturday the CKC did it again, this time with Sherrie Morgan in the BIS ring.  She saw the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Paradigm’s Aariel’s Entourage RA CD, the above named Mastiff, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Jaxstock Life Of Crime, the Aforementioned Toy Spaniel, the French Bulldog, CH Evergreen’s Lavish Looks, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, GCH CH Starpon’s Mustang Sally.  Her Best was the country’s Number Eight Dog All Breeds, the GWP, Scout, piloted by Rhanda Glenn standing in for regular handler Frank Murphy.

Sunday the party moved to Racine for two days with the Greater Racine Kennel Club.  We will bring you those results later.

The big names were in Harrisburg PA for three days of big numbers.  You have Friday’s & Saturday’s results.  The Harrisburg Kennel Club closed it out Sunday with Carl Liepmann in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel GCH CH Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline‘s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, Friday’s BIS winner, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pug, CH Riversong’s Broadway Joe, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins. Best In Show was the nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox, Dodger.  Dodger and owner/handler Amy Booth HAVE once again put some distance between them and the rest of the field in this year’s very close rankings race.

Our first report of the day is from Oberlin OH where the Lorain County Kennel Club held a singleton show.  Del Richard’s final consisted of the Labrador Retriever, CH Windswept Hill Storm Tracker, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Tiara Ne-Kabu Simbel Ankh, the Saint Bernard, CH Slaton’s Artful Move, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Lil’Itch Steeplechase, the Papillion, CH Maplerich San Fran Frisco, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Daldarado Dotzinks Bond, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Aryakas Hermes.  His BIS was the Dal, James.  Congratulations to breeders Lyra Partch. Mary Beth Moran, & Carrie Jorden, owner Robert Lawson, and handler Dave Slattum.

PEKE CLOSES BALLSTON SPA SET

James R White closed the five days in Ballston Spa NY calling the BIS for the Bennington County Kennel Club,  It was a familiar seven with only one of the finalists making their first appearance of the week, the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Genesis Silverado, the Great Dane, CH Lobato’s Jitterbug Man, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside In The Dark Zone.  It was AKC’s Number One Toy Dog, the Peke, Malachy, collecting his 33rd BIS.  Only one dog in the US has more.

HOT TIME IN LITTLE ROCK

GCH CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman

It’s unbelievably hot in Little Rock AR.  The temperatures were soaring over the 100 degree Fahrenheit range at yesterday’s Arkansas Kennel Club show and the competition was just as hot.  Elliot Weiss chose the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman as his Best In Show.  Buddy was accompanied in the final by the Weimaraner, CH Encore Van Go Milhaven, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Boxer GCH CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Pekingese, GCH CH Franshaw’s Hear Me Roar, the Standard Poodle, CH Hanna’s Dam Inge Fair Sun, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables Ya Drives Me Krayz HIC.  It’s the 21st BIS for Buddy and handler Larry Cornelius.  While everyone has been watching the Smooth Fox this year, Larry and Buddy have climbed into the top Twenty Five All Breed and now occupy the Number Three Terrier spot.

SATURDAY IN MINESOTA

Keke Kahn was in Albert Lean MN yesterday to do BIS for the Kennel Club of Freeborn County Minnesota.  She chose as her Best In Show the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Dehra Amazona Bvlgari.  Also on hand were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Kan-Point's Leading The Chase,  the Neapolitan Mastiff, CH Bruno Della Vecchia Roma, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Thunder Hill Soul Journey, the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje's Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Veritas Truth B Told.  It’s the first BIS this year for the five year old.  Congratulations to breeders Nick Frost & Helen Goldberg, owners Richard & J Linda Stark, and Clint Livingston. 

SATURDAY IN TORRANCE CA

CH CR Simply Irresistible

We awake this morning to more Saturday reports.  From Torrance CA we hear that William R Russell’s BIS at yesterday’s South Bay Kennel Club was the Pomeranian, CH CR Simply Irresistible.  Among the other finalists were the Weimaraner, Unity's Bzyfeet Laverne Defazio, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Newfoundland, CH Pawsinn Threeponds Lancelot, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Angranian Derry Mucker, the Miniature Poodle, Danford Debutante., and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Westfall’s Kyle’s Mica Of Paris.  It’s the very first BIS for Palmer.  Congratulations to breeders Celeste Solano & Robert Solano,  owner Margo Koga, and handler Noble Inglett.
