GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm

We are experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures around the country and characteristically hot competition around the show rings as our top dogs search the entire US for the maximum available points.  No where is the competition keener than between our top two dogs, both of whom picked up three BIS last week.  This week both have already logged all breed Bests, German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, in Billings MT and the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, in Cambridge MN.

Today the GWP, Oakley, would up the ante collecting the top prize at the Brevard Kennel Club’s day one show in Orlando FL.  It would be a tough path to the final as he had to best 2011’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Black Cocker Spaniel, to make it to Elaine Whitney’s final.  Once there he would face the Doberman Pinscher, CH Cambria’s Mint Condition, the Skye Terrier, CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dacun Kaylen’s He’s A Heartbreaker, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Karizma’s Ike of Edale.

The win gives Oakley and handler Phil Booth their 29th BIS of the year and a nearly 7,000 point lead as they make the far turn and head for home.  A note to our readers…you never know when one of these dogs is going to show up in your backyard.  Take a trip to your local show.  You won’t be disappointed.
