GCH CH Penndragon Owain
Northern California exhibitors were in Hanford CA for four days this past week. You can read about the Sequoia Kennel Club’ day one show here. The stop turned out to be a perfect juxtaposition of a promising newcomer and a dog at the top of the game.
On Friday, Robert Caswell would choose his BIS from the Brittany, GCH CH Britt's Ramblin The Perfect Cut, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Lomapoint Huckleberry, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical dancer, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Rockledge McCallen of Meath, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Loma My Name is Earl, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Penndragon Owain, and the Border Collie, CH Kensington's Artful Dodger. His Best was the Poodle, Owen. We'll talk more about Owen in a moment.

The Kings Kennel Club of California took over on Saturday, putting Nancy Smith Hafner in the final ring with the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Shang-Hai's Shadow Of The Cascades, the American Staffordshire Terrier, Chavez Let It Ride At Bonsai, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Nisyros Al Pachino, the Poodle, Owen, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Mariel’s Harvest Moon. Her BIS was the GWP, Oakley.
It’s the third big rosette of the week for the country‘s Number One Dog All Breeds. Oakley has opened a better than 7,000 point lead on the rest of our Top Ten with 27 BIS this year.
Sunday Oakley would be back to see James Noe along with the Borzoi, CH Arktis Scharlesta Jp's Ambrosia, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Sapphires Briscoe, the above named AmStaff, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Cashnross First Griff Tina Fey, the Poodle, Owen, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.
Once again the newcomer, the Poodle, Owen would grab the BIS. It’s the third this year for Owen who was still in the classes back in April when he went Best of Winners at the Poodle Club of America’s 2012 National specialty. All three of his BIS have come in the last three weeks. That’s enough for us to say Owen is a DOG2WATCH.
