Before we start in on this week’s results (yes, we already have results from this week), let’s tell you about last weekend’s Rolla Missouri Kennel Club shows at Purina Farms in Gray Summit MO. The Country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, has been crisscrossing the US, picking up enough big rosettes to warrant excess baggage fees. Peyton and handler Robin Novack started the week in Idaho where they picked up the first of three BIS this week. Peyton would take both of the big rosettes in Missouri first impressing Dr Robert Indeglia on Saturday and then Stephen Hurt on Sunday.
Additional finalists on Saturday were the Irish Wolfhound, Pennybright Widgeon, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor Flirt's High Flyin' Gladiator, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscot's Texas Hold 'Em, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Skyscot's Texas Hold 'Em, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Cedar C Barnstrom L&D Edition, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder. Sunday Peyton would be joined by the same Rott & Norwich, the Saluki, GCH CH Aurora’s The Song and Dance Man. The King Charles & Ruby English toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, the Lhasa Apsxo, CH PRK´s Defying Gravity, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH CH Aubrey's Taisl of Mystery.
The Peyton Express has collected 13 BIS in the last seven weeks for a 2012 total of 17. We’re breathless just writing this.
The winner of the Herding Group on Sunday was the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Libby, with Sherri Hurst.
