First, we go to Marshall MI where the Holland Michigan Kennel Club and the Battle Creek Kennel Club set up for three days. On Friday the HMKC put Sharol Candace Way in the final ring with the Curly-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Riverwatch Grand Illusion, the Whippet, GCH CH Festiva's Lucy Is Fashionably Late JC, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro's Witching Hour, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Homebrewed Page Three Girl RN, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight's 'Honor' To Pillowtalk, and the Pulik, GCH CH Moonshadow Rongyos Kis Medve.

BIS went to the StaffyBull, Daphne, while the Chin, Mimi, took home the RBIS. It’s the fourth BIS of the year for the country’s Number One Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The BCKC took over on Saturday and finished up the day with Betsy Horn Humer choosing the Top Two. Her contenders were the same Giant, Chin, Bichon, & Puli, the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Crystal Glens Up Yours OA AXJ, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, and the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Broxden Danea.

One/Two were the Puli and Smooth Fox. It’s the first this year for the eight year old Puli. Congratulations to breeders Barbara & Russell Pessina and owners Karen Kocsondy & Zoltan Kocsondy.

Linda Scanlon closed the set for the BCKC with the now familiar Basset, Giant, & Bichon, the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden's Pretty In Pink, the Kerry Blue Terrier, Turbo’s Excitations, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Chismick's Lights On Broadway, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Travler's Pierce Arrow.

It was the Basset, Tiger, picking up his second BIS of the year, while the Giant, Dora, carried home the RBIS rosette. Tiger and handler Brian Martin have logged nine final appearances in the last two months. We believe we will see them on these pages again soon.
