BREAKOUT PERFORMANCE IN MISSISSIPPI

GCH CH Gordon's Bite Of The Apple

Our daughter is home from DC to take care of some pre-wedding business and meetings with caterers, calligraphers, and wedding planners kept us from our local shows this weekend.   Too bad, because we had a major breakout performance just down the road in Southaven MS.  The Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Gordon's Bite Of The Apple, swept all three shows.

At Friday’s Olive Branch Kennel Club Butch & handler Leonardo Garcini  joined the English Setter, GCH CH Lochlomond's Wrapped Up In You JH, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Watling Street Sunset Showdown, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Canyonlands Blk Crusade, the Maltese, GCH CH Divine's Work Of Art, the Chinese, Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose, and the RBIS, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Kosmar Striking Back of Bridgelady in James Noe‘s final.

At the day one show of the Greater Shelby Kennel Club on Saturday, Butch impressed Jim Fredericksen more than did the previously mentioned the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Brookwood Diamond In The Ruff, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Maya's Mockingbird, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Zilya's Chicago Blues Fusion At Runes CD, the above named Maltese (the RBIS), the same Shar-Pei, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Myshara’s Dancing Queen.

At the GCKC closer on Sunday Donna Buxton preferred Butch to the Curly-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Clarion's Blackberry Bramble, the 15” Beagle, CH K-Run Lanbur The Truth All Around, the aforementioned BRT (her Reserve), the Yorkshire terrier, GCH CH Linshires Rolling Stone, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Alegria Independent Declaration, and the previously seen Corgi.

These are the first BIS for Butch who also now has 11 Terrier Groups to his credit this year.  That’s what we call an impressive start.  Congratulations to Leonardo and breeders/owners Joyce & Steve Hanson.

A note to exhibitors:  We will publish a photo of your dog if you win a Reserve BIS.  So send in your photos if you are the runner up!
