NEW DOG2WATCH IN SAN ANTONIO

GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil

One of the country’s most charming and inspiring cities, San Antonio TX, was the site of the Comal County Kennel Club & the Bexar County Kennel Club four shows this week.

GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova

First up was the CCKC who put Gerardo Bernard in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Whippet, GCH CH Snow Hill Beatrix Soul Delight JC CA, the Kuvazs, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscots Texas Hold’Em, the Pekingese, GCH CH. Windemere's Dusting Of White At Pevyne, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.

His BIS was the Springer, Peyton, and his Reserve was the Bichon.  Peyton, the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds has put together an impressive string of wins in the last month to bring his 2012 BIS total to 25.

The rest of weekend belonged to the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil, known to her friends as Scout.  On Saturday Scout and handler Laurie Lynn Coomes would join Peyton and the above named Peke & Corgi in Michele Billings final for the BCKC.  Rounding out her seven were the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Ring of Fire, and  the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Bar-None Fabulosity.  Runner up to Scout was the country’s Number One Peke, Dusty.

At Saturday’s CCKC reprise, Marjorie Martorella said “ditto“, also choosing Scout & Dusty over the Springer, Peyton, the previously seen Saluki, Bubbles, the Scottish Terrier, CH Kelwyn's GM Freestyle Flyer, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern.

At Sunday’s BCKC closer the Golden Retriever, CH Summit's Sonny Side Up, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Faouziah's Faramir, would join Scout and the now familiar AmStaff, Peke, Standard Poodle, & Corgi in Dana Cline’s final.  This time Scout’s Segundo would be the Poodle, Amelia.  The three wins doubles Scout’s 2012 BIS total to six in 19 final appearances this year.  We think it’s time to call this one a DOG2WATCH.
