COMING SHOWS
We will have fewer sites to see a dog show this week and that will mean that there will be more head to head match ups amongst our top ranked dogs. We have two spots that we think will see the most competition. In the east we have the three day weekend in Harrisburg PA, with the Harrisburg Kennel Club kicking it off on Saturday, followed by a double header presented by the Mason And Dixon Kennel Club. Look for the Saturday show to be one of the ten largest individual shows this year. Out in Sacramento CA, the hometown kennel club will give us pair of shows, preceded by the Northern California Terrier Association’s two limited breed shows on Thursday & Friday. It will be one of the largest entries for Terriers all year, with 393 of the total 1576 dogs entered Saturday.
There are also four day stops in Perry, GA where the Valdosta Kennel Club & the Atlanta Kennel Club will stage three shows starting Thursday, followed by the North Georgia Hound Association’s Hounds only outing on Sunday; and in Grove OK with the Bartlesville Kennel Club, the Northeast Oklahoma Kennel Club, & the Tri-state Kennel Club, combining for four all breed shows. Our remaining five locations will all see traditional Saturday Sunday fare. Try the Providence County Kennel Club & the Rhode Island Kennel Club offerings in Lincoln RI, the Indianhead Kennel Club’s two shows in Eau Claire WI, the Steel City Kennel Club‘s double header in Crown Point, IN, the Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club’s pair in Moses Lake WA, or a real vacation with the Windward Hawaiian Dog Fanciers Association in Kaneohe HI. Most places are expecting good weather and we are expecting spectacular AKC pure bred dogs everywhere. Visit an AKC show this weekend.
