GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

While the Number One Dog All Breeds was in Texas collecting a Group One, the Number Two Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, was in Belvedere IL picking up the RBIS at the Blackhawk Kennel Club’s opener.  However, Elizabeth Muthard’s BIS was the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box.  Accompanying Mattise and Jewel in that final were the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden's Pretty In Pink JH, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlakes Pants on Fire, the Pomeranian, Char's Hotter than Hot, the Lhasa Apso, Shoyu Blowin My Horn At Orlane, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv's Live The Dream.

BACK2BACK BIS IN VT

GCH CH RinChen's Blazing Black Icon

It was déjà vu all over again in Tunbridge VT at the day two show of the Woodstock Kennel Club where Judge Monica Canestrini would give the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH RinChen's Blazing Black Icon, his second BIS in as many days.  Picking up the RBis was the Borzoi, GCH CH Greyhaven This Rough Magic SC.

Also looking for consideration were the Pointer, GCH Chesterhope My Boys Girl, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Windover’s Hey There Handsome, the Airedale Terrie, GCH CH Joval Angel’s Whisper, the Brussels Griffon, CH Seagryphs Cuba Libre, and the Briard Centero’s Femme Fatale.  That’s the second BIS of the year for Michael and handler Mark Derosiers.

FIRST TIMER IN MADISON ON

We often hear that the average dog does not have a chance at an AKC show.  However, fanciers at today’s Grand River Kennel Club show in Madison OH saw a 21 month old Irish Wolfhound from the classes take today’s BIS.  Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna also liked the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy spaniel, GCH CH Loujon Thornwood Little Jacob.   The two took their awards over  Nest In Show winning competition including the Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc N Camelot's Heaven Can Wait, the Newfoundland, CH Cypress Bay's Big Sur, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid Of Honor, the Standard Poodle, CH Ale Kai Hillwood Celebration, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Fairway High Maintenance.

The Canadian champion is no sleeper.  He has not won a BIS and has won only one Working Group up north this year, ranking Number 352 in the Canadian All Breed Rankings.  Nonetheless, today’s spectators could not have been too surprised as he took the top prize at yesterday’s Cuyahoga Valley Hound Association limited breed show.  Congratulations to breeder Ragine Vandamme and owner Judith Ryan.   We would love to have a photo of this guy to show our readers.  Know where we can get one?
