PALM BEACH COUNTY KC 1

GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare

Just think.  All those folks who spent all that money to go to England for the Crufts show could have stayed here in the US and gone to the Palm Beach County Kennel Club show today in that Florida resort town.   Seven who did were the handlers of Donald Buxbaum’s finalists, the Golden Retriever, CH Happy Hour Highmark Toasty, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Boxer, CH Bullet Vancroft's You Must Remember This, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, D'Gani Iconic Princess Di, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible.

Best went to the MinPin Classie.  Classie is sitting in the Number Ten All Breed spot with six BIS this year.

We should prepare a statement after all facts are in. However you can assure and share with everyone that AKC will NEVER allow any such practice to occur. Our Parent Clubs own their respective standard and we support them 100 percent. Furthermore a Judges' decision is final and we respect that as well. The situation is a very disappointing one here from the point of view of breeders, exhibitors and judges and fanciers from around the world. In summary while our PCs have a right to be upset and concerned I will never allow this wrongful practice in America. Never!!! Dennis

We are very please that AKC has taken such a strong position, but we caution all our readers not to let AKC face this alone.  You need to fight this on every front.  Our way of life depends upon your participation.

FRANKLIN TN DAY TWO

GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery

Today in Franklin TN there were two Clumber Spaniels, six Pekingese, & 47 Bulldogs entered at the Tullahoma Kennel Club of Tennessee show and none of them were disqualified because the AKC thinks they are inherently unhealthy.  Isn’t it great to live in America?

The seven purebred, healthy, AKC registered dogs that made it to Linda Robey’s final were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Saluki, GCH CH Aurora’s The Song and Dance Man, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the  Wire Fox Terrier, CH Gordon's Bite Of The Apple, the healthy & typey Pekingese, GCH CH Benaires N Elphasuns Razzmatazz, the Keeshond, GCH CH Karolina Bonnyvale Meant to Be, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.

Best went to the Corgi, Libby.  One of our Dogs2Watch, Libby and handler Sherri Hurst have been charming judges for the last two seasons, gaining four BIS, BISS at the National Specialty of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America, and 31 Herding Group top prizes in 2011.  This is the BIS this year for Libby and handler Sherri Hurst.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Cynthia & Vincent Savioli, and co-breeder Shawn Michael.

SAN ANTONIO TX DAY ONE

GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style

We are weary of the sad dog show news coming out of Crufts, so we are delighted to tell you about the fun fanciers are having here in the US in San Antonio TX where yesterday the Kennel Club Of Greater Victoria opened four days of  all breed action.  Ray Filburn saw the seven who survived the earlier judging, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Pharaoh hound, CH Faouziah's Faramir, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Cholet's Brymos Loaded Gun, the Maltese, GCH CH Chrisman's Shiny Toy Gun, the Standard Poodle, Rodeo's Sweet Revenge, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Harmony Hill's Money Talks.
