NORTH OF THE 40TH PARALLEL

Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra
Concert on the Susquehanna River

The heat is driving most of our dog fanciers to cooler climes and most of our offerings this week are concentrated north of the 40th parallel.  New Yorkers have a five day fun fest planned in idyllic Ballston Spa NY starting tomorrow.  In an exemplary show of cooperation, the Saratoga New York Kennel Club, the Glens Falls Kennel Club, the Mohawk Valley Kennel Club, the Southern Adirondack Dog Club, & the Bennington County Kennel Club will host.

We expect big numbers and big names in Harrisburg PA for the three day weekend starting Friday presented by the Penn Ridge Kennel Club and the Harrisburg Kennel Club.  The Lorain County Kennel Club will hold a single all breed show on Sunday preceded by the Cuyahoga Valley Hound Association’s show on Saturday.  Wisconsin exhibitors will have four shows this weekend, but they will have to travel a bit.  They will start in South Milwaukee on Friday for the Cudahy Kennel Club’s two shows, then adjourn to Racine on Sunday for two days with the Racine Kennel Club.  The Kennel Club Of Freeborn County, Minnesota will spend Saturday & Sunday in Albert Lea MN.

Down our way there will be a weekend in Little Rock AR with the Arkansas Kennel Club while the only west coast offering is two days with the South Bay Kennel Club in Torrance CA.  If you can make it to one of these shows, you will be treated to the company of spectacular dogs and the expert knowledge of experienced owners and you will have fun.
