The Harrisburg Kennel Club managed to get their BIS in today before rising flood waters forced evacuation of the show building at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Building in Harrisburg PA. Some of William Cunnigham’s finalists were handled by stand ins as the regular handlers scrambled to move their motor homes to higher ground. He chose his BIS from the English Setter, GCH CH Wyndswept’s Encore, the Petit basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Celestial CJ’s Hearts On Fire, the Samoyed, GCH CH McMagic’s Candie Hamm of Pebbles’Run, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Sheeba Mark Twain, the the Miniature Poodle, CH Surrey’s Sugar Baby, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Winsome’s Love Remembears.
Picking up the big rosette before making a hasty retreat from the building was the Sammie, Candie. Candie has emerged as one of the top Working Dogs in the country with three BIS this year. This one, her biggest to date, will move her up a few places in our Top Twenty.
