We awake this morning to the news that the Number One Dog in the US, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, was Col Joe B Purkhiser’s choice as the Number One Terrier at yesterday’s Great Western Terrier Association of Southern California limited breed show in Long Beach CA.  While it only counts as a Group One, with over 600 entries it carries as many points as many of the all breed shows this weekend and some pretty good bragging rights in Terrier Circles.  Besides, we get to use this Terrierific photo of Dodger at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
