Our show week begins with a vengeance tomorrow, with two sites opening five day sets.  The Saratoga New York Kennel Club, the Glens Falls Kennel Club, the Mohawk Valley Kennel Club, the Southern Adirondack Dog Club, & the Bennington County Kennel Club will team up for the Adirondack Circuit.  The Danville Kennel Club, the Greater Hickory Kennel Club, & the Carolina Kennel Club, will do the same thing down in Greensboro NC.

Though not as large as their April weekend, expect entries at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club & the Harrisburg Kennel Club three shows starting Friday to be above 1500 dogs daily.  Elsewhere across the Rust Belt you can find one show on Sunday in Oberlin OH courtesy of the Lorain County Kennel Club and two shows in Albert Lea MN with the Kennel Club Of Freeborn County, Minnesota  You can get Four in Wisconsin though you will have to spend Friday & Saturday in South Milwaukee for the Cudahy Kennel Club’s two shows then move on to Racine for Sunday & Monday with the Greater Racine Kennel Club.

Our remaining shows will benefit from being the only events within a 15 hour drive.    The Arkansas Kennel Club’s two shows in Little Rock AR  closest competition is 750 miles away.  Out on the west coast exhibitors can opt for fun in the sun in Torrance CA with the South Bay Kennel Club or keeping cool in Lacey WA with the Nisqually Kennel Club some 1100 miles north.

Once again we expect that wherever you choose to go you will find the competition hotter than the summer asphalt.  That’s the world of AKC dog shows.
