CRAB ORCHARD KC RESULTS

GCH CH Stringer's Somethings Gotta Give

Our Illini dog fanciers were in Marion IL for two days with the Crab Orchard Kennel Club.  On Saturday Jon Cole gathered the Irish Setter, CH Rosette's No Stone Unturned, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Majic Whatever I Want, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Beren's Hope Of Thorn Hillm, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Stringer's Somethings Gotta Give, the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante's Fire When Ready HOF, and the Puli, CH Moonshadow Rongyos Kis Medve, before choosing the Yorkie, Jack, as his BIS.  It was the first all breed BIS for Jack and handler Vicki Meadows.  Congratulations to Vicki, breeder/owner Anna Stringer, and owner Stephanie Barnes.

Sunday, the final ring was in the hands of Roger Hartinger who saw five of the prior day’s finalists with the Doberman Pinscher, CH Protocol's Sic Itur Ad Astra, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Majic's Image Maker, being the newcomers.   His Best In Show was the nation’s Number One Schipperke.  It was the nine year old’s fourth BIS this year.

  1. Vicki Meadows is the only handler on the Yorkshire Terrier "Jack" who was Best the first night, for the record. This was his first Best- congrats to Vicki well done.
