Terry DePietro opened the four day stop in Hanford CA, choosing the Sequoia Kennel Club’s BIS on Thursday.  Showing up for the first final were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Hollywood, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Penaire's Chip Leader at Longvue, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Cashnross' First Griff Tina Fey, the Lhasa Apso, CH Kai-La-Sha Rumtek Rosette, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Kensington's Artful Dodger.

Day one went to the Nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the GWP, Oakley.  It’s the second of the week for Oakley who picked up a big rosette in Idaho on Tuesday.  That’s a total of 26 this year for Oakley and handler Phil Booth, who have opened a sizable lead on the field here at the midpoint of the season.
