FIRST IG BIS IN TWO YEARS

GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Open Button

As a Cairn Terrier owner, we are sympathetic to those breeds that seem to never make it home with a red, white & blue rosette.  Today one of those breeds went home with a red, white & blue souvenir of the holiday weekend in Bel Alton MD.  The Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Open Button, was Christopher Tilghman Neale’s BIS choice at today’s Rock Creek Kennel Club show.   Opie’s fellow finalists were the Irish Setter, CH Marlyn All About Magic, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Alisaton The Flight Of The Phoenix, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Rassle Dazzle, and the Border Collie, CH Bon-Clyde’s Take One.  It was Opie’s first all breed BIS and the first by an IG since 2008.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Carol A Harris and handler Justin Smithey.

  1. Congrats to the Italian Greyhound. In addition, a Bedlington Terrier bitch went Best In Show yesterday at the Sioux Valley KC in Le Mars, IA.

  2. Didn't this dogs breeder win Dogs In Review breeder of the year?
