Our first all breed report of the day comes in from the Long Island Leap Frog cluster. Today it was Suzanne Dillin doing the final for the Brookhaven Kennel Club in Oyster Bay NY. It came down to a face-off among the Irish Setter, GCH CH Fyrethorn Pay It Forward, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Great Pyrenees, CH Pyrless No-Brainer, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Saredon It Had To Be You, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro’s Dora The Explorer, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH L-Paige Majik Sisters of the Moon, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist and Shout.
Day one went to the Welsh Terrier, Daisy. UK native Daisy first caught our eye back in June when she took the day one show of the Great Western Terrier Association Of Southern California, one of the top prizes in the Terrier world. This is Daisy's first AKC all breed BIS. She also has 21 Terrier Group Firsts, more than any other Welsh Terrier. Congratulations to breeder Judith Aveeris, owner Victor Malzoni Jr, and handler RC Carusi. The action now moves 25 miles east to St James NY for tomorrow’s Suffolk County Kennel Club show.
