HEART OF THE PLAINS KC DAYS 3 & 4

GCH CH Sylvan Argent It's All About Me

Our second four day cluster was in Lubbock TX courtesy of the energetic members of the Heart of the Plains Kennel Club.  You can read about Thursday & Friday’s shows here.

On Saturday Dr Richard Greathouse had his pick of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Glengowan's Great Balls Of Fire, the Basset Hound, CH Morningwood Luciano, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen's Harvard, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Steele Your Heart, the Papillon, GCH CH Copella's Rising Attraction, the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH Finkkila's Nalle Poike, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Sylvan Argent It's All About Me.

Best went to the Collie, Gucci.  It’s the first this year for Gucci and handler Brian Livingston.  Brian showed Gucci’s older sister, CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible, to a record 17 BIS.  Congratulations to  Brian,  breeders/owners Dr Cindi Bossart & Connie DuBois, co-breeder James Efron, and owners Jennifer Mosing and Gail Currie.

Sunday Carolyn Herbel mulled over the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Glengowan's Great Balls Of Fire, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Heathers A Little Night Music, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Oregonized Gulf Coast Hurricane, Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscot's Texas Hold 'Em, the Papillon, GCH CH Copella’s Rising Attraction, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Bearded Collie, CH Britannia Spotacular in Blu.

Best was the nation’s Number Ten Dog All Breeds, the Bichon, Drummer.  Drummer’s score card this year reads 18 BIS & 68 Non-Sporting Groups.  Like many of the dogs we saw this week, Drummer has turned up the volume lately, picking up three BIS in the last two weekends.

  2. No, it was 17, still a very impressive number, and, yes, Sax is the winningest Rough Collie in AKC history. That's what we meant by "record".
