FROM OUR BACKYARD

CH Dante Fire When Ready

We will backtrack across the Mississippi to our backyard in Southaven MS just over the state line from Memphis.  The Olive Branch Mississippi Kennel Club managed to pack a lot of quality, if not a lot of quantity, in its two shows.  On Saturday BIS judge Jon Cole had his pick of the Golden Retriever, CH My Buddys Boppity-Bop Blue Moon, the Basenji, CH Ab-Rafiki The Icon Of Cool, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist War Admiral, the Border Terrier, CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH Starpons Mustang Sally Rae.  He chose the nine year old Schipperke, a multiple BIS winner.  Congratulations to breeders Amy Gossman & Gene Johnson,  A Gossman, M Jameson MD & P Allison, and handler Erin J Roberts.

CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express

Sunday, they judging book was passed to Francine Schwartz who had a final with the above named Sammie, Border Terrier, Peke, & Schipperke, the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Kimbar-Picabo Tandancer, the Basset Hound, CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Limericks Shakespeare.  She chose the Basset, Timmy.  It’s the first BIS this year for Timmy & handler Bryan Martin.  Congratulations to Bryan and  breeders/owners Claudia Orlandi, Claire Steidel, & Sue Frischmann.
