CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow
Out in California’s Central Valley, fanciers are gathered in
the town of Hanford for four shows. Read
about Thursday’s Sequoia Kennel Club’s opener here. Friday’s SKC final was judged by Jay
Richardson who had an impressive seven from which to choose his best two. They were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH
CH Dogwdcreek's La Vite E Bella, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss and
Tell, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Tiburon Arsenal, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH
Absolutely Talk of the Town, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, the
Standard Poodle, CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow, and the Shetland
Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay Preferential.
Taking home his second consecutive BIS was the Standard
Poodle, Dino, while the Smooth Fox got the RBIS.
GCH CH Oeste’s Flirt’N With An Outlaw
Saturday the Kings Kennel Club of California took over and
put Dr Roger Pritchard in the final ring with the same GSP, the Rhodesian
Ridgeback, GCH CH Diablo’s Dark Knight’s Nemesis, the above named Doberman
& Smooth Fox, the Havanese, GCH CH Oeste’s Flirt’N With An Outlaw, the Standard
Poodle, GCH CH Penndragon Owain, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Kokopelli’s
Sobe It.
This time it was the 16 month old Smooth Fox scampering away
with the big rosette while the Havanese watched. It is the first for the well-bred youngster,
who is the daughter of GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the 2011 and 2013 winner of the
Westminster Kennel Club Terrier Groups.
Our congratulations to breeder/owner James W Smith (AKC’s 2012 Breeder
of the Year) and handler Eddie Boyes.
