GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe
We don’t often get to report back2back, BIS by a Basset Hound, but we have just that report
from Auburn IN where GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe took both
the top awards at this weekend’s Logansport Kennel Club shows.
BIS judge Robert Hutton picked Tiger out of a lineup
Saturday that included the Gordon Setter, GCH CH Sastya's Eleven Eleven the
Newfoundland, CH Numa's Cest La Vie Seabrook, his RBIS, the Border Terrier, GCH
CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla’s Small Kraft Re-Lit,
the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Sine’s Deck The Hall, and the Finnish Lapphund, CH
Yutoris Shades of Autumn.
GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful
Sunday Delores Burkholder would choose the same Top Two over
the same Gordon Setter & Maltese, the Rottweiler, Avatar Cosmic Storm, the
Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Polish
Lowland Sheepdog, GCH CH Ponwood's Smoky.
Tiger has been the nation’s top Basset Hound in all breed competition
for the last two years. Tiger and
handler Brian Martin had eight BIS in 48 final appearances. This year Tiger has maintained a high profile
with nine Hound Group top prizes and a Group Two at February’s Westminster
Kennel Club show. However, these are the
first BIS of the year for Tiger and Brian.
We think it’s about time.
Congratulations to Brian, breeder/owner Dr Claudia Orlandi, and owner Claire
Steidel.
