NOT AT WESTMINSTER

There were dogs outside of New York this past weekend, specifically in Phoenix at the Lost Dutchman Kennel Club and Sahuaro State Kennel Club shows. Friday Judge Chantal Andrew had the Brittany, CH Mich’s Mt Read Aim Fire, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Saint Bernard, CH Alta Vista’s Billion Kilowatt CD, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Allaruth Solebay Chipotgoldblok, the Pomeranian, CH CR Tuff Guy of Isabella, the Bichon Frise, CH Paray’s Rime Time, and the Rough Collie, CH Gentry’s Braveheart, to look over and she chose the biggest of the lot, the Saint.

Saturday, the Collie and Ridgeback came back to see Judge Sandy Wheat. They were joined by the Golden Retriever, CH Premiere’s Rock Your World RN, the Boxer, Duba Daae’s Who’s Your Daddy, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Gaff’s I’m Here For The Party, the Toy Manchester Terrier, CH Evrmor’s Ruby of Burmack, and the Bulldog, CH Legacy Empress of the Copa. The second time around was better for the Collie, taking the BIS.

Sunday, The Bichon and the Miniature Schnauzer, would have a go at Judge Lynn Peterson, along with the Labrador, CH Ridgeview’s Magician, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Jake’s Desperado SW, the Samoyed, CH Glacier’s N Rowdy’s Czargent Trouble, the Pekingese CH Dunkirk Eye Candy, and the Bearded Collie, CH Brigadoon’s Daybar Beieve It Or Not. It was Sloan, the Bichon, taking home her first BIS. Congratulations to breeder Deb Wentz, owners Laura Rosio & Dr Martin Winston, and handler Raymond (Tray) Pittman. Now can we get a photo?
