We continue with our reports on National Specialties with this from Oconomowoc WI (35 miles west of Milwaukee) where 167 Basset Hounds showed up for the regular classes of the Basset Hound Club of America’s National specialty this week.  Marjorie Wikerd BOB was GCH CH Blossomhill's Mamma Mia.  BOS was CH  Olde Fashion Talk About Buckeye Luck, BOW/WB was Soundtrack Grand Illusion, & WD (from the 9-12 Month Puppy class) was Topsfield Corkery Oscar Renta. Violet is bred and owned by Suzanne Sukey Shor and handled by Mike Stone.   Congratulations to Suzanne, Mike, and all the winners.


  1. The Dachshund Club of America was won by the 9yr old Veteran Dog Ch. Solo's Premiere SL. Bred and owned by Paula Carter, and owner/handled by Kim Vidrine. This was his second time winning the National, and he is the son of the only Longhair to win the Hound Group at Westminster.
