VENTURA DETAILS

One of the most riveting news reports over the weekend was the rescue of a German Shepherd mix from the rain swollen Los Angeles River. There was also canine drama north of LA in Ventura CA where we were introduced to a another potential top ten dog. We gave you a glimpse of the Ventura shows over the weekend. To recap, Bill Shelton’s latest Pembroke Welsh Corgi prodigy, CH Segni at Coventry, took two of three BIS, Friday’s Simi Valley Kennel Club & Sunday’s Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association. The third prize, Saturday’s San Fernando Kennel Club went to the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly.

Quiet Creek’s Kiss And Tell

Friday Kevin Harris’ finalists were the Golden Retriever, Eldorado’s Promises D’Best H3X, the Bloodhound, Quiet Creek’s Kiss And Tell, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Deerpark Othello, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Black Watch On The Rocks, the Chinese Crested, CH Pahklavi Peepin Tom, and the Bulldog, CH Globe And Anchor Sgt Iron Mike.

CH Avenue’s Two Minute Warning

Saturday Valerie Carter saw the Labrador Retriever, CH Sounders Slate Of Cedar Brooke, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Nanuke’s Take It To The Limit, the Norwich Terrier, CH Avenue’s Two Minute Warning, the Pomeranian, CH Horizon’s A Fly On The Wall, the Dalmatian, CH Nspird Spotsafire It’s A Wrap, in addition to the aforementioned Ridgeback & Corgi.

CH Nanuke’s Take It To The Limit

Sunday it was Joan Luna with the previously mentioned Bloodhound, Malamute, Norwich, & Dal, the English Springer Spaniel, CH Caran’s Days Of Future Passed, and Pug, CH Winsome’s Gold Standard.
