GWP CELEBRATING 100 BIS

We have saved one show report for last so it could sit on the top of our page until the weekend reports start coming in, the Paper Cities Kennel Club shows in Rothschild WI.  Saturday’s show saw the 2012’ Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, take his 100th career all breed Best In Show.

In addition to Oakley, Saturday’s final which included two other Top Ten Dogs and other multiple BIS winners, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queen’s Armada, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro’s witching Hour, the Reserve winner, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Pug, GCH CH Moonstruck's In The Pocket!, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgable’s the Frat Boy.  

Oakley and handler Phil Booth treated the dog world to a thrilling 2012 race going down to the “wire” last year, holding off a challenge by the Number Two Dog, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the last weekend of the year.  In addition to garnering the most points and most BIS in 2012, Oakley became the winningest German Wirehaired Pointer in AKC history.  Our congratulations to Phil, breeders Claire Wisch, & Kelly Wisch, & Helen George, and owner Victor Malzoni Jr on this major milestone and our thanks to them all for sharing this magnificent dog with all of us.

Sunday’s PCKC final saw the above named Dachshund, Giant, Russell, Bichon, & Sheltie in the final ring with judge Michael Dachel and the American Water Spaniel, GCH CH Waterway Game CRK Hot Diggity, and the Shih Tzu, CH Jadesilk Luv T’Auburn Locks.  Once again the Russell, Bosse, would receive the runner-up’s award.  The Best In Show would go to the Bichon, Honor.  Honor is the nation’s Number One Bichon Frise and Number Three Non-Sporting Dog with nine BIS and 45 Non-Sporting Groups.
