Fanciers in the Pacific Northwest are doing their long weekend in two states.  Saturday & Sunday they were in Spokane WA for the hometown Spokane Kennel Club’s two shows.  Today & tomorrow they will be 35 miles east in Coeur D'Alene ID for the Coeur D'alene Dog Fanciers two shows.

Saturday’s SKC final was in the hands of James Fredericksen.  His seven hopefuls were the GCH CH Abbylane Tramore Above The Limit, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Windbourne HD Ranch King Of The Road, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Paragon's You Had Me At Merlot, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Terrywood MVP, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Rising Stars Off The Hook, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Sky Acres Flying Solo.

Judge Fredericksen would like, as so many have before him, the Standard Poodle, Ally, for his Best.  His Reserve was the Irish Setter, Kristopher.  Ally has been a Top Twenty Dog for the past three seasons and is currently the Number One Non-Sporting Dog and the Number Ten Dog All Breeds with eight BIS in 24 final appearances.

The seven who stayed behind on Sunday to see BIS judge Alvin Krause were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rushhill’s Drama’geddon, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Bakari's Lor Vitra Caymus HIC CGC, the Boxer, CH Berlane N Jems Just One Look, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Ring of Fire, the Pug, GCH CH Moonstruck’s Smooth Sailing, the Standard Poodle, Ally, and the Norwegian Buhund, GCH CH Jotunn Bella Binna

He would like the Boxer as his BIS and the Ridgeback as his RBIS.  It’s the first BIS for the barely two year old Boxer.  Congratulations to breeder/owner  Karen Knox, owner Han Huan Xin, and handler Michelle Yeadon.
