While the dogs at yesterday’s Houston Kennel Club were shown in air conditioned comfort, with nearly 3000 dogs entered, the competition was white hot.
The seven who survived to see W Everett Dean Jr were the German Wire Haired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Wallstreet, the Siberian Husky, CH Topaz Silver Lining, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Steele Your Heart, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche’s Grand finale.
BIS went to the Wire, Eira. The win, Eira’s third this year, will catapult her up more than 25 spots in the all breed rankings and put her among the Top Five Terriers. Congratulations to breeders/owners Torie Steele & Maryann Roma, and handler Gabriel Rangel.
