We are going next to the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, Springfield IL, where the Mattoon Kennel Club & the Sandemac Kennel Club hosted the first two days of the four day weekend.  On Friday the MKC finished the day with Ann Hearn choosing the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv’s Gambolon Blue Thunder, as her top dog.  Also on hand were the Gordon Setter, GCH CH Firethorn & Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes, the Bassett, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Horizon's Poetic Justice, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Nilefox Dirty Idea, the Pug, GCH CH Kenshei and That's the Way It is, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Kaylen's in a Perfect World.   It’s the ninth all breed Best for Elvis and breeder/owner/handler Jere Marder.

Saturday the SKC put Shirley Limoges in the final ring with Elvis, the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussex See You Later Alligator, the 15" Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Midnight Confession, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Seng Khri Bartok Of Dawa, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Highwayman, the Maltese, GCH CH Seabreeze Caribbean Sun Calling, and the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Ri Lee's Stellar Performance.  Her best was the massively impressive TM, Bart.  Bart & handler Ed Thomason have amassed seven all breed BIS this year.
