SATURDAY & SUNDAY IN VENTURA

We start our Monday Mop Up on the west coast, in Ventura CA where fanciers enjoyed one of the most beautiful venues in dogdom, the ocean side Ventura County Fairgrounds & Seaside Park. Judge Betty Regina Leininger had the final at Saturday’s Santa Maria Kennel Club show and her choice of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Vjk-Myst Garbonita's California Journey, the Bloodhound, Quiet Creek’s Limited Edition, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Excelsia's This Side of Paradise, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Round Town Queen of Hearts of Maryscot, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Wenrick’s Don’t Stop Believing, the Keeshond, GCH CH Skyline's Unit Of Measure, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Kokopelli's SoBeIt.

She chose the GSP, CJ, as her BIS and the Cattle Dog, Sobe, as her RBIS. CJ is the nation’s Number One GSP and Number Five Sporting Dog with four BIS and 14 Sporting Groups.

The hometown Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association had Sunday’s closer and they put judge Dana Cline in the final ring. Joining him were CJ, the GSP, the returning Bloodhound, the Boxer, GCH CH Hijinx This Is How I Roll, the aforementioned Scottie, the Toy Manchester Terrier , GCH CH Benison’s Dance Of The Reed Pipes, the above named Keeshond, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Toy Manchester Terrier.

His Best was the Scottie, Queenie, and his Reserve, the Boxer, Semi. It was the second BIS of the stop for the nation’s Number Two Terrier and her 16th in 31 trips to the final ring this year.
