WILMINGTON KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright 

The Wilmington Kennel Club had the first two days of the three day stop in Bear DE. Friday’s final was in the hands of judge Sharon Newcomb who chose her top two from the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Edelmarke Investigator, the GCH CH Raquel Welch of Malabo APD, the Akita, GCH CH CR-Wicca’s Trade Secret, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Yarrow’s Hi-Tech Ben There Done That, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Devinwood A Perfect Stranger.

Taking the top prizes were the Bull Terrier, Yum Yum, and the Xolo, Armani. It was the first BIS in five final appearances this year for Yum Yum and breeder/owner/handler Mary Remer. Our congratulations to Mary and breeders/owners R G Lamkins & Karin Lamkins & W E Mackay-Smith.

Yum Yum and Mary were back on Saturday to try their luck with BIS judge Dr Anne Gallant. They were joined by the Labrador Retriever, GCH CH Beechcroft Midnight Rose’s Baccara. The Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Samoyed, GCH CH Pebbles' Run Play It Again Ham, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Blythewood Golden Warrior, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzosa Salvame From Afterglow, and the German Shepherd Dog, Trafalgar’s Seize The Night.

Judge Gallant’s BIS was the Afghan, Matrix. Her RBIS was the Samoyed, Bogie. Matrix is the country’s Number One Afghan Hound and Number Three Hound with eight BIS and 19 Hound Groups.
