Our final report from this weekend comes in from the Pacific Northwest where history was made at Sunday’s Walla Walla (WA) Kennel when Dana Cline named the Norwegian Buhund, GCH CH Jotunn Bella Binna, his Best In Show. It was the first BIS for the breed since its introduction in 2009./

On Saturday the Buhund, Binna, was judge RBIS behind the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Hilltop’s GQ Cover Boy, who was the RBIS on Sunday. Also making Norm Patton’s final on Saturday were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Diamond MK The Eagle Has Landed, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Windbourne HD Ranch King Of The Road, the Akita, GCH CH Sondaisa Fyre When Ready CD CGC, the Miniature Bull terrier, GCH CH Cambria’s Kid N’ Play, and the Dalmatian, GCH CH Tramac Just Watchme Shine.

It was the first of the year for the Griff, Giorgio. Congratulations to breeders Carole Ross & Sharon Tadlock, owner Pat Brown, and handler Sherri Lee.

Binna and Giorgio’s fellow finalists on Sunday were the same Weimaraner & Mini Bull, the Otterhound, GCH CH Aberdeen’s Ultimate Addiction, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Peace River’s Gathers No Moss At Sunstra, and the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH DV9K9’s Red Hot Star.   Our congratulations to Binna’s breeders/owners Vali Eberhardt & John Bradstreet and owner/handler Amie McLaughlin.
