GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto

With four all breed shows, some of the week’s biggest numbers are at the Mardi Gras Cluster in Alexandria LA.  Those numbers drew some of the new year’s toughest competition.  Judge Robert Vandiver had the day one final Thursday for the Baton Rouge Kennel Club and his pick of the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Ashdown’s Time To Thrill, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Del Prado’s Bar Code, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto, the Wire Fox Terrier, Foxcreek JP Ideal Or Idiot, the Maltese, GCH CH Rhapsody N Cherubs Oh So Henry, the Bichon Frise, Saks Winning Card, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Just A Little Crush.

Day one belonged to the Greater Swiss, Gus, and the Cocker, Alan.  It was the first BIS of the year for Gus, who finished 2013 with six BIS and 28 Working Groups.  Congratulations to breeders Robyn Toth, Ken Toth, & Kristin Kleeman, owner Sue Copeland, and handler Scott A Sommer.
