NUMBER ONE GETS ONE MORE

GCH CH Moonstruck's Smooth Sailing

We return to the Mountain Time Zone for our last report from last weekend.  The Helena Montana Kennel Club had the Saturday/Sunday spots for their hometown shows.  Day one’s final featured judge Norman Patton in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Hil-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore Of Me, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain'e Naughty-N-Lovely Alvin, the Akita, CH Redwitch Adrenaline Junkie, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Hjohoo's Save Hjour Love For Me, the Pug, GCH CH Moonstruck's Smooth Sailing, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Padow's Too Hot To Handle, and the Bearded Collie, CH Scott Ragtyme You Are The Music In Me.

Taking home the big rosette was the Pug.  Grabbing the Reserve ribbon was the Chow.  It’s the first BIS in six final appearances this year for the Pug, Sailor.  Congratulations to breeder Melissa Standish, owner Randy Brewer, and handler Shea Skinner.

Sunday Sailor and Shea would be back to plead their case to BIS judge Christine Salyers Anderson along with the aforementioned Beagle, Akita, & Chow.  Joining them were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaborations with Traddles, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Psycht's Unforgiving Minute HIC BN.

Sailor would play bridesmaid to 2013’s undisputed queen, the Wire Fox, Sky.  Sky is the US’ Number One Dog All Breeds with 57 BIS and a seriously dominating 105 Terrier Groups.  Sky will be the odds on favorite at next week’s Montgomery County Kennel Club show.
