Copping the first two awards of the stop were the Great Dane, Jordan, and the Whippet, Lacey.  It’s the first BIS in five final appearances for Jordan.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Pam Deloria, Lori Cornelius, Linda Landrum & Cathy DeMott, and owner Renee Gumbs.

Sunday BIS judge Virginia Lyne would see the same seven save one, the Xoloitzcuintli, CH Fullibus Aquia.  She would choose the GSD, Galaxy as her Best and the Great Dane, Jordan as her Reserve.  Galaxy and handler Scott Yergin have been busy this year collecting four BIS and 25 Herding groups, making Galaxy the Number One German Shepherd in America.

GCH CH Gunther’s Gussied Up Edna

This past weekend the action moved to Iowa City.  The Hawkeye Kennel Club’s day one final found judge Pat Trotter mulling over the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden’s Pretty in Pink JH, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Incahoot’s Howling Tornado, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Katon’s Eye of the Tiger v Morgenwald, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Glaurieus Super Mod Elle, the Pomeranian, CH Classic’s Coco Chanel, the Boston terrier, GCH CH Gunther’s Gussied Up Edna, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Stonewall’s Let’s Make It a Double.

Judge Trotter would like the Boston Terrier, Edna, for her Best and the  English setter, KiKi, as her Reserve.  We have that as Edna’s first BIS this year in 14 final attempts.  Congratulations to breeder Brook W Berth, owners Andy & Jack McIlwaine, and handler Carlos J Puig.

GCH CH LTO Prosperity

Only Edna and the above named Dachshund would be back on Sunday to see judge Charles Trotter.   They were joined by the Brittany, CH Sovereign’s Chasing Legends, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Rivergroves Vera Wang, the Cesky Terrier, GCH CH Zlatapraha Gillespie Bluefire, the King Charles & Ruby English toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, and the Belgian Sheepdog, GCH CH Bonntymes Keepin Real Divine Hsa.

He would place the Toy Spaniel, Prosperity, and the Cesky, Gilly, one/two.  The remarkable Toy Spaniel has ten BIS in 19 tries this year.  Now when was the last time a Toy Spaniel did that?
