BI-COSTAL BIS

GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare

Our Number Three Dog, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, spent the last two weekends picking up BIS on both coasts.  Last weekend she was in Tampa FL for the St. Petersburg Dog Fanciers Association’s two shows.  On Saturday Ann Savory Bolus chose Classie out of a seven that included the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH  CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, a smooth Dachshund from the classes, Lucene's Magesil's Naishali My Majesty, the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore's Diamond Lil, her RBIS, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotted Bliss Oreo Delight, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Karizma’s Ike of Idale.

Sunday, Classie would play bridesmaid to the aforementioned Great Dane, Scout, who got the BIS.  Rounding out Gene Blake’s final seven were the Flat-Coated Retriever, GCH CH StormWatch Thunderclapp Tegan JH WCX CGC, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Springvalley’s JoJo, the same, Skye, Charlie, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Gulfbreeze It's All About The Madness, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Wynward’s Remember That.

This week Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello showed up in Canby OR where the Clackamas Kennel Club hosted the two largest shows in the country this weekend.  On day one Classie was judge George Marquis’ BIS.  Judge Marquis also liked the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Take Aim’s Playing For Gryffindor, whom he made his RBIS.  Also hoping for recognition were the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade’s Pay It Forward, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Windbourne HD Ranch King Of The Road, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Susitna’s Deal Me In, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Ring Of Fire, and the Keeshond, GCH CH Summerwind’s Rumor Has It.

Classie now has 30 BIS in 58 final appearances this year , a very admirable batting average.  Moreover, the wins will make up considerable ground between Classie and the Number Two Dog.

On Sunday Laurence Libeu would see it the other way round making the Bouvier, Gryf, his BIS and Classie his RBIS while the English Springer Spaniel, CH Segre’s Brown Derby RA BN OA OAJ, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Sleepy Hollow Carolina Special, the Akita, GCH CH Ruthdales Candy From A Baby, the same AmStaff, and the Shiba Inu, GCH CH San Jo Jay-Z, watched.  It’s the second BIS of the year for Gryf and handler Larry Fenner.
