GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegan's Wake

Our show week began yesterday in Fort Wayne IN with the Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club show.  The five day Old Fort Cluster has drawn many of the top dogs from all over the country.

Our Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, and our Number Two Dog, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, faced off in Chris Walkewiz' Sporting Group.  She would send the Springer, Peyton, forward to Jerry Watson’s final, and hand the GWP, Oakley, the second place ribbon.

The Number Five Dog, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, and the Number Six Dog, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, met in Keke Kahn’s Toy Group.  The MinPin, Classie, would earn the right to compete for BIS, while the Affenpinscher, Joey, would take the second place ribbon back to his set up.

The Number Eight Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction would also get a second place behind the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante’s Fire When Ready HOF in Jon Cole’s Non-Sporting Group.

Joining the Springer, MinPin, & Schipperke in the BIS ring were the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfiled-Sanchu Eeenie Meenie Miney Moe, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegan's Wake, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, and the Pyrenean Shepherd,  Finishing One/Two on day one were the Schnauzer, Finn, and the Springer, Peyton.  Finn is a relative newcomer to the Top 100 Dogs All Breeds, picking up his first BIS this year back in late August at the huge Santa Barbara weekend.  Yesterday’s BIS is the fourth this year for DOG2WATCH Finn and handler Jody Paquette in eleven final appearances.
