BUCKTHORN KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Stardom Country Squire Livin' In The Limelight

Our Number Seven Dog All Breeds, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence,  was in Greeley CO this weekend for the Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club’s two shows.

On Saturday DR Judith Newton chose her top two from the English Setter, GCH CH Stardom Country Squire Livin' In The Limelight, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel SC, the Kuvasz, Tanner, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Random Ruse, the Pomeranian, TNT's Inferno Flame' n Karisma, the Chines Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow of Cornus.

The two standing alone in the center ring at the end of the day were the RBIS, the Wire Fox and the BIS, the English Setter.  It’s the second BIS of the year for Levi, who just got his first last month.

On Sunday Levi, the Whippet, Chanel, & the Kuvasz, Tanner were back for a second go around.  Also on hand in Garry Newton’s final were the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Chyscott's Making An Entrance, the Pekingese, GCH CH Dunkirk Imagine That, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Ka-Ta Midnight Khan, and the Old English Sheepdog, Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.

Tanner would get the RBIS, but the BIS would go to the 18 month old OES.  It’s his first, but considering his parents are the multiple BIS winners, CH Bugaboo Bog Shot and CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl, we suspect it won’t be his last.  Mom was the breed winner at the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club show and Dad was the BISS at the 2011 National Specialty of the Old English Kennel Club of America.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Colton & Heather Johnson.
