Next we visit our former home, Northern California, for a report on the Sacramento Valley Kennel Club show in Dixon CA.

Like the Vancouver KC show, the SVKC event drew a substantial entry and some of the nation’s top dogs.   Tom Bradley’s final seven were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca’s The Norseman, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Windhaven She's The Real Cruz-Penelope, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Déjà Vu I Want A Talk About Me, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Tramac Just Walk’n on Sunshine, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Carben Copy’s If The Shoe Fits.

Taking home the Reserve award was the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Springer, Peyton.  Taking home the BIS and all those points was the country’s Number One Cattle Dog, Brick.  It’s the second BIS in 16 final appearances for Brick and handler Kim Griffith

  1. Love this dog. Good to see a dog who meets the breed standard win BIS. Not just the fancy breeds.
